After retiring from the army in 2001, 43-year-old Wang Haiwen worked as a member of the joint defense team in Haikou City, rented shops to sell meat, vegetables and fruits, and drove a taxi with his wife. The base needs to hire people to carry out daily care work such as planting, pruning, hanging nets, and picking all year round, and currently absorbs 5 villagers for fixed employment, which are basically the labor force left at home in Helang Village.
