A gentleman is as strong as an ox, and does not compete with an ox, runs as fast as a horse, and does not race against a horse, and is as wise as a scholar, nor is he wiser than a scholar.

That contest is just the strength of a person who equates himself with others, and you still praise it. His prudence, which is what makes him unheard.

I've heard the saying: 'Don't be too unaware of the scholars.' When you see a scholar, you ask, 'It's not that I don't know how to see it?' If you don't ask, then you will know little about things, and if you don't know much, you will be shallow."

That shallowness is the way of a lowly person, but you still praise it. ”

  Zhou Gong said to Bo Yu, "I'll tell you." I am the son of King Wen, the younger brother of King Wu, and the uncle of King Cheng.

I am not a humble man in the world, but I have received ten elders with gifts, thirty of my peers who have returned courtesy, more than a hundred scholars who have received me with courtesy, and more than 1,000 people who want to give advice and I ask him to finish the matter, and among these I have only three wise men, and I have relied on them to straighten my body and mind, and to settle the world.

The way I got the three Magi was not to choose between ten and thirty, but among hundreds and thousands.

Therefore, I am more polite to the superior scholars, and more polite to the inferior scholars. Everybody thinks that I like scholars very much, so they come, and when they come, I can see things clearly, and only then can I know where they are right and wrong.

Be vigilant! If you treat people arrogantly by virtue of the state of Lu, you will be in danger! Those scholars who depend on their lives can still be treated with pride, but those who are upright in body and mind cannot be treated with pride.

Those scholars who are upright in body and mind, who give up their noble status and are willing to live in humility, who are willing to be poor at the expense of wealth, who give up comfort and do hard work, and whose faces are dark and do not lose the position they have chosen, so that the program of governing the world can be passed down endlessly, and the ancient literature and classics can endure for a long time. ”

That's right. It's because its reputation is not in vain, it is not in vain, and it is not brilliant. Today's scholars, Sun Qing's last words, Yu Jiao, is enough to be the world's French style. Those who exist are gods, those who pass are transformed, and Confucius has passed through their good deeds. The world is not observed, Yun is not a saint, but what!

The world is not governed, and Sun Qing is not in time. De Ruoyao Yu, the world rarely knows, the magic is not used, people are suspicious, its knowledge is clear, follow the path and do the right thing, enough for the discipline. Woohoo! Virtuous! Worthy of being an emperor. Heaven and earth do not know, good at the good and good, kill the virtuous, than the dry to dissect the heart, Confucius is restrained, take public opinion to avoid the world, Jizi is crazy, Tian is often chaotic, and Lu Lu is good at being strong. Blessing for the wicked, and woe to the good.

Now he who speaks, and does not perceive the truth, but believes his name. The times are different, what is the reason for the reputation? must not be political, merit can be achieved, ambition and virtue are thick, who is not virtuous!

In this era, a wise man cannot plan political affairs, a capable man cannot participate in governance, and a man of virtue and ability cannot be appointed. So the monarch was blinded and saw nothing, and the virtuous were rejected and not accepted. Since this is the case, Xun Qing has the ambition of a great saint, but he has added a layer of pretending to be crazy to his face, showing his ignorance to the world.

The Book of Songs says, "Not only is he wise and wise, but he is used to preserve himself." "That's the kind of person you're talking about. That's why he didn't have a great reputation, he didn't have many disciples, and his brilliance didn't shine widely.

  Today's scholars, as long as they can get the remarks and teachings left by Xun Qing, can also be used as the legal norms of the world.

The place where he was was governed was comprehensively governed, and the local society he passed through changed. Look at his kind deeds, Confucius can't surpass it.

The people of the world do not examine in detail, saying that he is not a saint, what can be done? The reason why the world cannot be governed well is because Xun Qing has not encountered the opportunity. His virtues are like those of Yao Yu, but few people in the world know about this, and his statecraft is not adopted, but is doubted.

He was extremely intelligent, and he was good enough to be an example to the people. Oh, he should be the emperor. Heaven and earth don't know that they are good at killing virtuous people.

Bigan was disemboweled, Confucius was besieged in Kuangdi, receiving public opinion to escape society, Jizi pretending to be crazy, Tian Chang was in chaos, and Lu Lu was reckless and strong. He who does evil will be happy, but he who does good will be woe.

Xunzi Yao asked

Now those who make a statement do not examine the actual situation, and even believe those false names; The times are different, where does the reputation come from? If you can't govern, how can you accomplish meritorious deeds? If you have good aspirations and good morals, who says that Xun Qing has no virtue and ability?
