Charles de Gaulle aircraft carrier (English: Charles de Gaulle aircraft carrier, board number: R91) is the first nuclear-powered aircraft carrier in France and the only nuclear-powered aircraft carrier in the world that is not affiliated with the United States Navy.

The Charles de Gaulle aircraft carrier has a traditional double-deck longitudinal long deck design, with a large trim angle from the flight deck to the bottom of the ship, and the superstructure is located on the starboard side of the ship. The top of the superstructure from the keel to the bridge is divided into 12 floors, of which the 6 floors below the main deck are the armament and engine rooms, and the 6 floors above the main deck are the crew living cabins, command cabins and flight decks.

The ship is 261.5 meters long, 31.6 meters wide, 8.5 meters draft, full load displacement of 42,500 tons, speed 27 knots, endurance 7,500 nautical miles / 18 knots, and an establishment crew of 1,750 people, including 350 aviation personnel.

The ship is equipped with 4 8-cell "Aster" 15 vertical launch systems for launching "Aster" 15/30 anti-aircraft missiles;

2 six-mounted "Mistral" ship-to-air missile launchers for launching "Mistral" short-range anti-aircraft missiles;

4 Exocet anti-ship missile launchers and 6 short-range anti-missile systems.

The electronic equipment on board the ship includes: DRBJ-11B three-coordinate air-to-air search radar;
