Yueyuehong Planting Professional Cooperative seized this opportunity, actively responded to the national rural revitalization strategy, vigorously developed the winter flower planting industry, and helped villagers increase their income and get rich.
Li Jianjun, head of the Yueyuehong Planting Farmers' Cooperative in Xihe County: Recently, it is the time to plant butterbur, and the cooperative employs more than 50 people every day. This year, we have a total of 550 acres of land, 55 acres of semi-summer planting, 150 acres of winter flowers ready to plant, 100 acres of red membranaceus, 100 acres of codonopsis, 120 acres of honeysuckle, we employ about 3,000 people a year, pay wages of about 200,000, in recent years, the benefits of our cooperatives are generally good, this year our cooperatives have expanded their scale again, and increased by 150 acres of land more than last year.
The cultivation of coltsfoot flowers not only brings considerable economic benefits to the cooperative, but also provides employment opportunities for local farmers. During the key seasons such as spring sowing, summer management, and autumn harvest, Yueyuehong Cooperative will hire local villagers to participate in labor, which not only solves the employment problem of villagers, but also increases their income.
