Fans of the Lamborghini celebrated its 60th anniversary this year with the 350 GT, Lamborghini's first production model, which recently returned to Geneva!
Originally derived from the 350 GTV prototype introduced by Lamborghini a few months after its founding, the 350 GT was officially unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1964, which was also the first step in the automotive industry for Lamborghini.
It is worth noting that the 350 GT, chassis number two, is the oldest production Lamborghini in existence.
Under the hood of the 350 GT is a 3.5-liter V12 engine designed by Giotto Bizzarrini, designed with a racing design in mind, but modified by Paolo Stanzani for road use.
The aluminium bodywork, created by Carrozzeria Touring in Milan, embodies the design of a luxury sports car from the early 60s. It can be seen that the big bull logo at that time was not the current yellow and black, but an OG version made of black, white, red and yellow.
The 350 GT marked the beginning of Lamborghini's commercialization and set a new standard for supercars with luxurious interiors that included leather and chrome plating and a unique 2+1 seat configuration.
In addition, the 350 GT had four independent wheels and a 320 CV engine, which was also the ceiling edge of automotive technology at the time.
This engine was also the cornerstone of Lamborghini's success, which later evolved into the 400 GT's 4L V12 engine, which has been powering Lamborghini models for four decades.
The OG version of the 350 GT with metallic grey interior and red interior has been lovingly restored and certified by the Lamborghini Polo Storico as a tribute to Lamborghini's pioneering spirit.
