Remember history and pay tribute to the martyrs

author:Anhui Traffic Broadcasting

The pear blossom wind is clear. On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, we cherish the memory of the martyrs even more.

"If you remember, he has no regrets." When we re-read the red family letter and relive the red story, we use the martyrs as a mirror to cleanse our minds, purify our souls, and gather strength. Let the deeds of heroes and martyrs be passed on from generation to generation, and let the spirit of heroes and martyrs continue to grow.

Remember history and pay tribute to the martyrs

Wang Buwen, a native of Yuexi, Anhui Province, joined the Chinese Socialist Youth League in 1923, became a member of the Communist Party of China at the end of the year, and participated in the establishment of early party organizations in Anhui. In October 1930, he was responsible for the establishment of the Anhui Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, and in March 1931, he was appointed as the first secretary of the Anhui Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China. On April 6, he was arrested in Wuhu for betrayal as a traitor, and on May 31, he was martyred in Anqing. Wang Buwen's two letters were addressed to his wife and father, respectively. The content of the two letters is very brief, one is 33 words, and the other is 29 words, respectively mentioning that the property is inherited by the wife to raise the beloved son.

This is a suicide note left by Wang Buwen, the first secretary of the Anhui Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, on May 31, 1931. The "recovery beloved wife" in the first suicide note is Wang Buwen's wife Fang Qikun, and recovery is a pseudonym. The second suicide note was addressed to his father.

In his suicide note, he calmly said to his relatives: "I died for the revolution"; he comforted his wife: "Don't be sad, don't be sad"; he left a last wish: "Raise your beloved children and inherit your aspirations"; and he fulfilled his last responsibility for his wife and children: "My property will be inherited by you." He knew that he had many brothers and sisters since he was born into an old-fashioned family. After his death, orphans and widows are afraid that their livelihoods will be difficult. He also wrote his last wishes to his father. The suicide note, which is only a few dozen words, deeply reflects the martyr Wang Buwen's unrepentant death for the revolution and his infinite concern for his wife and children. The suicide note was very brief. He had already prepared the sacrifice, without the slightest fear and taboo, and he even added "one hour before death" at the end of his suicide note.

After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Wang Buwen was posthumously recognized as a revolutionary martyr, and his wife Fang Qikun declined the pension and warned his children: work hard, support themselves, and not ask the government for special care. In 1985, Fang Qikun died of illness. Her ashes were buried next to the tomb of Wang Buwen in the Dabie Mountain Martyrs Cemetery in Yuexi County, and a revolutionary couple, life and death partners, finally rested together.

Chu Hanyi graduated from the First Normal School of Anhui Province in 1926 and was a classmate of Wang Buwen. He joined the Communist Party of China in 1927. He has successively served as the secretary of the Huxiang branch of the Communist Party of China and the secretary of the district party committee. In 1935, he was betrayed by traitors and died heroically. In this family letter, Chu Hanyi expressed her longing for her mother and the guilt of not being able to fulfill her responsibilities, and also clearly expounded her beliefs and pursuits, showing the sincerity of the communists for the revolutionary cause.

This letter was written in 1933, when Chu Hanyi had been working in Shitai and the surrounding area for nearly three years and had not been able to see his family. He heard that someone was going back to Yuexi's hometown, so he hurriedly wrote this letter to his mother. The letter expressed his concern and longing for his mother, and also showed his determination to sacrifice everything for the revolution.

From the time she joined the Communist Party of China in the winter of 1927 until her death in 1935, Chu Hanyi was busy with the revolutionary cause and did not take care of her mother and family. People are not plants and trees, who can be ruthless. Every time I think about my elderly mother at home, not only can I not serve my knees, but I have to make the elderly often cry and feel sorry for me.

Therefore, in the letter to my mother on May 12, I still wrote "sad and soft-hearted", but I couldn't bear to make my mother feel too sad, worried that "I would force out a few old tears from your old man". can't help suppressing his feelings, comforting his mother a lot, hoping that his mother can get rid of her troubles and enjoy her life in peace. He told his mother that "although he is drifting in a different place and sending food to a foreign country, this kind of fun is very much." Chu Hanyi also solemnly said to her mother, "In the word life, you can see it thoroughly and thoroughly, as long as it is beneficial to the society, everything can be sacrificed." This is the ambition of the son, and it is also the place where your old man looks deeply!"

He knows very well that he has a mother who understands righteousness and can understand her son's ideals, and understands that his son is willing to give up family happiness and even sacrifice his life for the cause of benefiting the country and society.

In July 1934, Chu Hanyi participated in and led the Kecun Rebellion and established the Soviet power in southern Anhui, making outstanding contributions to the early revolutionary cause in southern Anhui. At the beginning of 1935, due to the betrayal of a traitor, Chu Hanyi died heroically in a fierce battle with the enemy, and he fulfilled his oath with red blood.

Today, when we reread the letters of the martyrs and listen to the stories behind the letters, we can still feel the revolutionaries' longing and attachment to their families, their love and affection for the country, and their perseverance and firmness in their faith.

Today, we remember them with the most sincere feelings, because the today we enjoy is the tomorrow they are fighting for and pursuing. All commemorations are for a better way forward. We are willing to walk in the footsteps of the martyrs and move in the direction of our dreams - always moving forward.
