A few days ago, Toyota officially released its new Taisor model in the Indian market, the new car is the smallest SUV in the Toyota system, with a starting price of 77,400 rupees in India, about 67,000 yuan.
The new car is based on Suzuki's Heartect platform, which has a deep kinship with Daihatsu's Raize, and the Taisor can be seen as an India-specific product due to its positioning in other markets, as well as the slightly higher Yaris Cross.
Judging from the official picture, the front face of the new car adopts a polygonal grille design, the interior is decorated with a honeycomb structure, the daytime running lights adopt a through-type design, which effectively stretches the horizontal visual width of the front face, and the high and low beams are located on both sides of the grille.
The lower part of the bracket is equipped with hexagonal air intakes, and the interior is decorated with a grid-like structure to have a strong sense of hierarchy, and the front lip part is also decorated with chrome strips to bring a strong sense of power.
In terms of side styling, the roof has a pronounced curve, equipped with a thick luggage rack, and also creates a floating roof for a more stylish style, the waistline adopts a segmented design to embellish the layering of the side of the body, the wheel arches and side skirts are designed with raised black trim plates to highlight the sense of power, and the wheels adopt a five-spoke shape for a relatively simple style.
In terms of rear styling, the roof is equipped with a relatively large spoiler and flat high-mounted brake lights, the blackened tail light cluster adopts a through-type design, which effectively stretches the horizontal visual width of the rear of the car, the polygonal license plate frame area adopts a recessed design to embellish the three-dimensional effect of the rear, and the lower bumper part is equipped with a thick gray scuff plate, and the exhaust pipe adopts a hidden layout.
In terms of size, the official only announced that the body length of the new car is 3995mm, and it is positioned as a small SUV, which is indeed the smallest size among Toyota's SUV models.
In terms of interior, the overall layout is relatively simple, providing a three-spoke flat-bottomed multi-function steering wheel, a dashboard with mechanical pointers and LCD screen, a floating central control screen and a mechanical gear knob.
In terms of equipment, the new car offers wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a head-up display (HUD) and wireless phone charging, but it does not offer any driver assistance features.
In terms of power, the new car is available with a 1.2-liter self-aspirated engine and a 1.0-liter engine with a maximum power of 90 hp and 100 hp respectively, mated to a 5-speed manual and CVT gearbox.
