Bournemouth's animation programme is part of the School of Communication, which consists of four departments: media, technology, journalism and law, as well as a research centre: the National Centre for Computer Animation (NCCA).

And in the 2021 Rookies global 2D animation rankings, the second place is actually a little-known comprehensive university: the University of Hertfordshire in the United Kingdom.
In fact, as early as 2015, the animation design program at the University of Hertfordshire was ranked 1st in the UK and 12th in the world by the CG Student Awards.
In the Rookies rankings, the animation program at the University of Hertfordshire was also ranked No. 1 in the world in 2017 and 2019.
