Born in 1961, Tang Yijun, his career was extremely smooth, growing up in Pingchuan, after a short period of hibernation at the grassroots level, he directly entered the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee, and then entered the General Office of the Provincial Party Committee, he was 36 years old when the official to the deputy hall, 44 years old to the main hall, 50 years old to the deputy department, are the best among their peers.
However, in the first half of his career, most of them were in service positions, such as secretaries and secretaries-general, and he did not serve in really substantive key positions.
The gears of Tang Yijun's career really turned in 2016.
In the spring of 2016, two important personnel changes took place in Ningbo.
First, in February, the then secretary of the municipal party committee went south to Jiangxi to take up his post, and second, in March, the then mayor Lu Ziyue was suddenly investigated. For a time, there was a vacuum in the principal responsible persons of the party and government in Ningbo. At that time, Tang Yijun, who had been the chairman of the Ningbo CPPCC for 4 years, was appointed as the acting mayor in danger.
The change is not over yet, after only four months as acting mayor, Tang Yijun was reused, directly as the acting mayor, as the secretary of the Ningbo Municipal Party Committee, and at the same time promoted to the Standing Committee of the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee. In the following six months, Tang Yijun took on the responsibility of the party and government, and at the same time served as the mayor, and the following year he became the deputy secretary of the provincial party committee.
It should be said that Tang Yijun at this time was still excellent and highly valued. On the other hand, not having held a key position before may have been a good protective role for him. In layman's terms, it is a sentence that has not fully tasted the taste of power, and there is no chance to deteriorate.
Tang Yijun's career is still not over.
After serving as secretary of the Ningbo Municipal Party Committee for one year and two months, Tang Yijun left Zhejiang, where he grew up, and went north to Liaoning, where he was promoted to the post of governor, and thus entered the ranks of ministers at the age of 56. In Liaoning, Tang Yijun did not work for a long time, and it took two and a half years to fight a full battle.
In April 2020, Tang Yijun ushered in the highlight moment of his life and served as the second minister of the newly reformed Ministry of Justice, so far, he has also stood at the peak of his career.
In the second year of Tang Yijun's tenure, in September 2021, Fu Zhenghua was investigated and dismissed. On September 22, 2022, Fu Zhenghua was sentenced to a suspended death sentence for accepting bribes, and after the two-year sentence was commuted to life imprisonment, he was sentenced to life imprisonment without commutation or parole.
Almost at the same time, Tang Yijun also began to slide from the peak to the trough. There are two notable manifestations.
First, at the end of the month when Fu Zhenghua was sentenced, the list of deputies to the 20th National Congress was released, and Tang Yijun, as the leader of the ministries and commissions, was among them, but his name disappeared among the new members of the Central Committee who were subsequently elected, which was very surprising.
Second, in January 2023, Tang Yijun's name suddenly appeared in the list of Jiangxi Provincial CPPCC members, and in the next election, he was elected as the chairman of the Jiangxi Provincial CPPCC, which was really unexpected. Those who are familiar with it know that this is a correction that breaks the mold.
It was also from then on that Tang Yijun's boots were hung high, and it was not until a year and three months later that everything was settled.
