On April 2, according to the disclosure of the Shanghai Clearing Exchange, Huawei Investment Holding Co., Ltd. issued an announcement on the distribution of dividends, proposing to distribute dividends of RMB 77.095 billion to shareholders. Huawei Investment Holding Co., Ltd. also stated that the above-mentioned dividend distribution is the company's normal profit distribution, and has no adverse impact on the company's production and operation, financial condition and solvency.
It is reported that Huawei Investment Holding Co., Ltd. is a private enterprise 100% owned by employees, and the Qichacha APP shows that the company was established in 2003 and is jointly held by the Trade Union Committee of Huawei Investment Holding Co., Ltd. and Ren Zhengfei.
Shareholding dividends are an important part of Huawei's employee income, and Huawei's employee compensation currently consists of three parts: salary, bonuses, and dividends. According to Huawei's latest annual report, as of December 31, 2023, 151,700 people participated in Huawei's employee stock ownership plan.
Based on this calculation, the average dividend of Huawei's shareholding employees is about 508,000 yuan per person.
On the afternoon of March 29, Huawei released its 2023 financial report on its official website in a low-key manner. For the full year of 2023, Huawei's global sales revenue reached RMB704.2 billion, up 9.64% year-on-year, and its net profit reached RMB87 billion, up 144.4% year-on-year.
In terms of business, in 2023, Huawei's ICT (information and communications technology) infrastructure business achieved sales revenue of 362 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 2.3%, terminal business sales revenue of 251.5 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 17.3%, cloud computing business sales revenue of 55.3 billion yuan, and digital energy business sales revenue of 52.6 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.5%. The intelligent vehicle solutions business achieved sales revenue of 4.7 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 128.1%. It can be seen that the above five business segments have achieved year-on-year growth. Among them, the growth of the automotive business doubled, followed by the cloud business and the terminal business, both with double-digit growth. HiSilicon, Huawei's sixth business segment, did not release relevant data.
Commenting on Huawei's performance in 2023, Ken Hu, Huawei's Rotating Chairman, said: "The Group's overall business performance in 2023 is in line with expectations. It is the trust and support of customers, partners, and all sectors of society that have helped Huawei survive and grow. ”
Despite the squeeze on its performance, Huawei has not lowered its R&D investment. In 2023, Huawei's R&D investment will reach 164.7 billion yuan, accounting for 23.4% of its annual revenue, and the cumulative R&D expenditure over the past 10 years will exceed 1.11 trillion yuan.
