The most important are the two functions of "automatic parking" and "smart summoning", which have been deactivated since Tesla began to change to a pure vision solution in 2022 and cancel the USS ultrasonic sensor, which means that the above two functions cannot be enjoyed by the subsequent new factory vehicles equipped with EAP or FSD.
Now, in some overseas markets, Tesla has re-introduced the new version of the automatic parking assistance function for the Model 3 and Model Y, which are not equipped with USS ultrasonic radar and adopt pure vision, in the latest version of the 2024.2.12 version of the on-board software version update.
After the return of the automatic parking assist function, its operation is the same as in the past, the vehicle can automatically detect the parking grid on the side of the road, including parallel roadside parking, vertical parking grid, the driver selects the scanned parking grid on the central control screen, selects the parking grid you want to park and presses the "start" button, and the vehicle will automatically carry out the automatic parking program.
In order to promote the FSD fully automatic driver assistance package, Tesla North America has also strengthened the promotion of the FSD system in North America, and currently supports the FSD system hardware models in the United States, both new and old, can try the FSD system for free for 1 month. Tesla in North America is also in the delivery process, adding that car owners need to experience the FSD system before delivering the vehicle home, and in the new car test drive experience at the consumer's door, the FSD system experience will also be inked, and Elon Musk even requires that car owners who return to the factory to receive warranty services also provide FSD test drive experience.
The current buyout price of the FSD system in the United States has reached $12,000, while Tesla's FSD monthly subscription in the local FSD system is $199 per month.
