Shaanxi Provincial General High School Academic Level Selective Examination Subject Scoring Method (Trial)
In accordance with the spirit of the "Opinions of the Ministry of Education on the Implementation of the General High School Academic Proficiency Examination" (Jiao Ji 2 [2014] No. 10) and the "Notice of the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government on Printing and Distributing the Implementation Plan for Deepening the Comprehensive Reform of Ordinary Higher Education Examination Enrollment" (Shaanxi Zhengfa [2022] No. 14), combined with the actual situation of our province, the "Shaanxi Provincial General High School Academic Level Selective Examination Subject Assignment Measures (Trial)" (hereinafter referred to as the Measures) are formulated.
Presentation of exam subjects and results
(1) Examination subjects. The optional examination subjects include 6 subjects, including ideology and politics, history, geography, physics, chemistry, and biology. According to their own interests, aspirations, strengths and the requirements of the majors selected by ordinary colleges and universities, students will choose one subject in history and physics, and two more subjects in the remaining four subjects to participate in the optional examination.
(2) Presentation of results. The results of the two preferred subjects of Physics and History in the optional test subjects are presented as raw scores, and the full score value is 100 points. The results of four subjects, including ideology and politics, geography, chemistry and biology, are presented with the scores converted by grade assignment. Both the raw score and the full score assigned to the grade are 100 points.
Re-select the subject grade assignment method
(1) Grading division. Each subject is divided into five grades from high to low according to the candidates' original scores, A, B, C, D, and E, and the proportion of the number of students in each grade is about 15%, 35%, 35%, 13% and 2% respectively, and the candidates' original scores are converted into grades. The conversion base is the number of people who actually participated in the subject examination in our province in the current year and achieved valid results, and the number of candidates who are absent from the test and have zero scores are not included in the conversion base.
(2) Grade assignment. The original score of each of the four subjects of Ideology and Politics, Geography, Chemistry and Biology is 100 points, and the grade assignment score is 30 points as the starting point for the assignment, and the full score is 100 points. The original scores of the candidates in the five grades A, B, C, D, and E are converted to the five score ranges of 100~86, 85~71, 70~56, 55~41 and 40~30 respectively according to the grade proportion conversion method, and the scores converted by the grade assignment are obtained. The results of the grade assignment calculation are processed as "rounded" and presented as an integer.

2. Grading formula. The formula for calculating the grade assignment of each candidate according to the grade ratio conversion method is as follows:
Among them: Y1 and Y2 represent the lower and upper limits of the original score range corresponding to a certain grade, respectively, and Y represents the raw score of a candidate;
F1 and F2 represent the lower and upper limits of the corresponding grade assignment divisions, respectively, and F represents the score of a candidate in the corresponding grade after the conversion of grade assignment scores.
(3) Establish a guarantee mechanism for re-selecting subjects. When the number of examinees in a subject is less than the guarantee base, the score will be assigned from high to low based on the guarantee base. The guarantee base shall be determined in accordance with factors such as the needs of the state for the cultivation of talents in relevant disciplines.
Miscellaneous
(1) These measures shall be implemented from 2025 when the province first implements the selective examination of the academic level of ordinary high schools.
(2) The results of the selective examination are valid in the current year and are included in the total score of the candidates enrolled in the enrollment of ordinary institutions of higher learning, and are used as an important basis for the admission of candidates participating in the unified college entrance examination by ordinary institutions of higher learning in that year.
(3) Only the scores of the candidates converted by grade assignment will be announced for the re-selected subjects, and the original scores, grade assignment process and other procedural information will not be published.
(4) All localities, education administrative departments at all levels, and all senior secondary education schools should further enhance their ideological understanding, strengthen publicity and guidance, do a good job of dispelling doubts and doubts, and create a good social atmosphere for the smooth progress of the comprehensive reform of the college entrance examination.
(5) These measures shall be interpreted by the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Education.
