PNF technology helps Highlander solve the problem of burning engine oil

Although I bought my 2011 Highlander in May 2012, it has already driven 190,000 kilometers. It is often said that Toyota is the most durable of any Japanese car, and I know this very well. Since the start of the car, it has been very consistent and, in our local dialect, "rugged". Apart from regular maintenance and replacement of some wearing parts, I have hardly ever spent anything extra on it. Its performance is really worry-free and effort-saving.

Highlander burns engine oil and it turns out that it really exists

The car's performance over 100,000 kilometers is remarkable, requiring only routine maintenance in a workshop and a tire change at 60,000 kilometers. The rest of the parts are in good condition and in good working order. However, when driving to 170,000 kilometers, the phenomenon of burning engine oil began to appear. Initially, the oil was reduced by about 0.8 litres per service cycle, and considering that I have been insisting on maintenance every 5,000 km, it has not been too long for the oil to remain in the engine. But as time went on, the problem worsened. At the end of last year, after the vehicle had driven 5,000 kilometers and had traveled about 2,000 kilometers, the oil warning light came on, and I realized the seriousness of the problem. Worried about the impact on my car during the Chinese New Year, I quickly sent my car to a repair shop for inspection. The inspection found that there were slight signs of oil leakage on the check valve and oil seal, but the maintenance staff said that this was a normal phenomenon for old cars, and the vehicle had traveled 190,000 kilometers, and it was not surprising that there were some oil stains. Eventually, they suspected that the problem might be with the piston ring, so they used an endoscope for an in-depth examination.

The main culprit of burning engine oil - piston ring stuck

After careful inspection, the maintenance master told me that the reason why the Highlander burned the engine oil was because the piston was stuck. Endoscopes are used to observe the condition inside the cylinder, and cylinder pressure tests are used to determine whether an engine needs to be overhauled and to deduce the root cause of the problem. During the inspection, it was found that the top of the piston was covered with a thick layer of carbon deposits, while slight scratches could occur on the cylinder walls. However, as long as these scratches are not particularly severe, they usually do not affect the vehicle too much. This means that if the cylinder pressure and the condition of the cylinder wall are within the normal range, then there is no need for an overhaul of the engine. Therefore, solving the problem of piston ring stagnation can effectively solve the problem of Highlander burning engine oil.

In response to the current difficulties, I consulted with the workshop masters, and their advice was to use traditional blister cylinders, disc shafts, and the latest pulse technology to deal with carbon deposits on the top of the piston. However, there is a problem with these methods, that is, they cannot penetrate the piston completely, especially the oil ring that is difficult to clean. Luckily, the master recommended a piston ring release agent called PNF to me, claiming that it could effectively solve this problem. After listening to the professional advice of the master, I found this product and communicated with the customer service in detail, and finally decided to buy it and try it.

Following the instructions in the manual, I officially started using fuel repair agents to fix car problems. Specifically, three bottles of fuel repair agent are added to the tank at one time, and six tanks of oil are used in a row. To ensure best results, each tank of oil should be used for no more than 12 days, allowing the fuel remedial to be fully effective. At the same time, I also poured a bottle of oil repair agent into the oil port as instructed, and planned to use one in one service interval and use it for two service cycles in a row. Drive more after that to see the effect. I look forward to the significant improvement this release agent brings and to seeing the oil burn problem resolved."

Fuel release agent plus gasoline

At the time I write this, my car is already running on its fourth tank of gas, and the overall feeling is excellent. The car was full of power and the oil was in a stable state, so I contacted customer service and they suggested that after the fourth set of fuel was used up, I would be given two sets of free fuel repair agent to strengthen it so that the piston rings could be released more thoroughly. This made me realize that the so-called "Toyota that can't be broken" is actually not absolute. As car owners, we need to take care of our vehicles. Because cleanup and effective cleanup are actually two different things.
