Today (March 22), the reporter learned from the press briefing of the 2024 Suzhou Flower Show (Shangshan Hundred Flowers Festival) that this year's Hundred Flowers Festival will be held in Suzhou Botanical Garden (Suzhou Shangshan National Forest Park) from March 23 to May 12, with an exhibition period of 51 days. The flower show was sponsored by the Suzhou Municipal People's Government and the China Park Association, and undertaken by the Suzhou Municipal Garden and Greening Administration. The flower show will use gardens and flowers as the main elements, showing the cultural heritage of Suzhou garden city and the beauty and elegance of life in the south of the Yangtze River.
During this year's flower show, more than 1,000 new and excellent flower varieties are expected to be exhibited, and a number of creative gardens of domestic and foreign designers will be presented, including 4 international gardens, 4 theme gardens and 3 new excellent variety gardens, which are closely related to the theme of the flower show, with the interpretation of natural life as the core, and express the unique understanding and perception of gardens, nature and life in different cultural backgrounds.

In March, in the Shangshan National Forest Park, more than 100 kinds of flowers, including apricot blossoms, cherry blossoms, peach blossoms, pear blossoms, begonias, etc., are opened, tulips, daffodils, February orchids and other ground cover and bulbous flowers are diverse, colorful, more than 50,000 tulips will be presented in a variety of charming styles; the three-dimensional flower wall composed of hydrangeas in front of the Baihua Pavilion is like a gorgeous waterfall; Seasonal flowers such as lupins, sage and ornamental grasses of various colors will be decorated with perennials, and at the same time, the vertical green flower bulb flower wall will be interspersed, making the whole park feel immersed in a sea of flowers, bringing endless visual feasts to visitors.
