Xingtu Star Era ET positioning is a medium and large luxury pure electric SUV, the appearance is similar to the current mainstream new energy SUV, the overall mediocre and durable, the front face is a semi-closed design, only a small area of air outlets is left below, there are split headlights on both sides that can display the picture, and a through-type light strip is also designed above.
The side of the new car is a simple design, outlined by a double waistline, and the sportiness is not bad. As for the rear, the Star Era ET is designed with a black rear wing, through-tail lights and a black lower surround, which is highly recognizable. As for the success of such a design, it is still up to the market to judge.
In terms of body size, the length, width and height of Xingtu Star Era ET are 4955mm, 1975mm and 1698mm respectively, with a wheelbase of 3000mm and a 5-seat layout. 1995/1750mm, wheelbase 3005mm, in comparison, although the length and wheelbase of the Star Era ET car are not as good as the ideal L7, but wider and taller, plus the same five-seat layout, the space is naturally spacious and comfortable enough, but compared with the strategy of the M7 five-seat and six-seater together, there are fewer choices, and the competitiveness is naturally weaker.
The interior of the ET is also the same as most new energy SUVs, simple and avant-garde, but there are also many controversial points. The first point is that the interior of the new car is a traditional double-screen design, and the suspended central control screen is no problem, but the suspended instrument is somewhat abrupt and uncoordinated, and there are some obstructions from the exposed pictures. The second point is that the steering wheel of the new car is not special-shaped, but the rounded shape, as well as the two buttons on the steering wheel need to learn the cost, judging from the black panel on the steering wheel, it seems that there is also a touch button design, but this design has always been controversial, and the original Denza D7 with this design has been changed back to physical buttons.
The third point, from the analysis of the real pictures, the storage design of the Xingtu Star Era ET is also different from that of the traditional SUV, and there does not seem to be a storage compartment near the driver's platform that shelves the driving license or card, and the co-pilot does not have a glove box, which affects the storage capacity to a certain extent.
The fourth point is that the official focus on the "Star Bar" is actually that the armrest box can be moved back electrically, which is convenient for the small couple to be close to each other. It's not as practical as the ideal, questioning hollow design. The fifth point is that the Star Era ET uses a canopy, although it uses double-layer silver plating insulation, but from the perspective of consumer feedback, no matter how advanced the canopy is in summer, it is also a big problem, and many car owners have installed their own sun visors. Sixth, the hidden door handle for internal door opening is not acceptable to all consumers, at least it is rarely used in hot-selling mainstream models.
Let's talk about the intelligent part, objectively speaking, Chery still has a certain skill in the creation of the car machine system, which is much stronger than the joint venture, but it does not have outstanding advantages in a number of independent brands, and it cannot be compared with Geely's Meizu car machine, Huawei's Hongmeng car machine and Xiaomi's surging car machine, fortunately, it uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip, which makes up for the lack of software to a certain extent.
In terms of intelligent driving assistance, Star Era ET is said to be equipped with 30 sensors, dual NVIDIA Orin-X chips, both of which are at a high level in the industry, but from the perspective of the configuration of Star Era ES, the top model will have such a configuration, and the other versions are all Horizon Journey 3 chips, the computing power gap is not small, basically no relationship with the city NOA, I don't know if Star Era ET will also deal with it like this. In addition, even if the sensor and chip configuration are full, they are currently only suitable for national high-speed elevated urban expressways, and urban NOA should still not be supported.
In terms of power, there are currently three kinds of Xingtu Star Era ET, one for extended range, one for single motor pure electric, and one for dual motor pure electric, of which the extended range version of the model is equipped with a 1.5T engine with a maximum horsepower of 156Ps, as for whether it is a single motor or dual motor, it is still unknown. As for the pure electric version, the maximum horsepower of the front axle motor is 249Ps, the maximum horsepower of the rear axle motor is 312Ps, the comprehensive power may exceed 500Ps, the cruising range should be 540km and 625km, and the 800V fast charging platform should not be absent. In terms of chassis, the new car is equipped with air suspension + CDC electromagnetic suspension as standard, which is very helpful to improve comfort.
The hardware configuration of Xingtu Xingyuan ET is still in place, especially the car machine chip, auxiliary driving sensor, chassis, as for the power and battery, it still needs to wait for the official release of specific data, but there are indeed many controversies at the design level. At present, the biggest advantage of the new car is the price, it is said that the pre-sale price is 199,800 yuan, less than 200,000 yuan to buy a new energy medium and large SUV, which is very cost-effective.
But the low-price strategy is not a panacea, for example, the Star Era ES was very hot when it was released, but the sales were not good, and the whole system was lowered by 20,000 yuan in less than 20 days after it was listed, and an entry-level model priced at 198,800 yuan was also launched, even so, there were only 740 and 504 in the last two months, and it is not an exaggeration to describe it as bleak, and then look at the Star Era ET, even if the SUV has its own advantages, it is still a popular big five, and the market performance is likely to be above the Star Era ES, but from the current consumer feedback, the future market performance is not optimistic.
