The front of the new X2 features sharp edges and a short hood design that creates a strong sense of sportiness. The sides of the body take on the typical "SUV coupe" style, with rear floating windows and sloping rear pillars adding a sense of dynamism, officially dubbed the "Sport Utility Coupe (SAC)".
The all-new X2 has a drag coefficient of just 0.27Cd, and the M35i model is also equipped with a different grille design and quad exhaust pipes to underline its high-performance status. The length, width and height of the new car are 4554mm / 1844mm / 1590mm, and the wheelbase is 2692mm.
The car features a curved dual-screen consisting of a 10.25-inch instrument cluster and a 10.7-inch infotainment screen, with the center console buttons positioned more to the driver's side. The new car is equipped with the BMW iDrive 8.5 system, which also features an in-car camera that can be used to take photos or record videos, as well as intelligent voice control systems, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, Level 2+ intelligent driving assistance and automatic parking.
An optional panoramic sunroof is available, the trunk has a volume of 25 cubic feet (about 708 litres) and seats in Alcantara. The standard seat uses an animal-free artificial leather called "Veganza".
The new car will be powered by a 2.0T turbocharged engine with a maximum power of 150 kW, the M35i xDrive will have a maximum power of 221 kW, and the 0-100 km/h acceleration time will be 5.4 seconds, and the powertrain will be mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
