The first test of the 35W Ryzen 7 8700GE APU: Performance, power consumption, and temperature are all amazing!

Fast Technology reported on February 24 that AMD is about to release a new Ryzen 8000GE APU series, with thermal design power consumption reduced from 65W to 35W, and now the top model Ryzen 7 8700GE has come out, which is very pleasantly surprised.

The basic specifications of the Ryzen 7 8700GE remain unchanged, with 8 Zen4 CPU cores and 12 RDNA3 GPU cores, and the base frequency has been reduced from 4.2GHz to around 3.65GHz.

The maximum frequency of the sample is 5.1GHz, and the memory frequency can currently run up to DDR5-6400, and it will definitely be higher in the future.

On average, compared to the Ryzen 7 8700G CPU, the single-core performance is only 5% lower, the multi-core performance loss is only 17%, the GPU performance is checked by 23%, and the power consumption is as much as 52%.

For example, in the CineBench R15 test, the maximum power consumption is only 40W, and the temperature is only 52.6°C under air cooling.

For comparison, the Ryzen 7 8700G has a peak power consumption of 88W and a maximum temperature of 70.6°C.
