Virtue Charge Fu Heavenly Punishment Theory

Zhuangzi put forward the theory of heavenly punishment. What is Heavenly Punishment? There are various explanations in various texts, but in fact, Zhuangzi explained it very clearly. If a person lives a whole life and is confined to his own spiritual cognition, he cannot understand the broad mind of the Great Dao of Heaven and Earth, and his spirit cannot be sound, it belongs to the punishment of heaven. In other words: spiritual suffering is called heavenly punishment. Buddhism says: "Let go", if you can't let go, you will be punished by heaven. The doctor called: "The spiritual inner guard of tranquility and emptiness." "Material desires cannot be "tranquil", the spirit cannot be "nothing", the spirit is imprisoned by reality, and the body will suffer from illness. Note: The Confucian golden mean can be included in the above ranks, and the golden mean is also the hub of the Tao.

Going back to the book, what example does Zhuangzi give? The protagonist is Confucius on one side and Shushan Wutoe of Lu on the other. The reason for the incident: Shushan walked with his heels without toes to see the master, and when the master saw him, he said, "You have a crippled body because you don't know how to be cautious, and you have come today to no avail." ”

Unexpectedly, Shushan Wutoe said something: "It is precisely because I don't know the world and don't know the depth of doing things that I lost my toes." I am here today because you have something more noble than your toes, and I want to be able to preserve it. Heaven is nothing, the earth is not loaded, I regard you as heaven and earth, who knows, sir, and I regard the things that exist in the external body as precious. ”

Confucius traveled around the world

The master quickly replied, "I am too shallow, so why should you come in and tell me what you have seen and heard?" "Shushan didn't go in without toes and left.

Confucius took the opportunity to educate his disciples: "Disciples are diligent! A person without a heel should strive to make up for his previous mistakes, and a sound person should work harder." Of course, this is the words of Zhuangzi's family. Because Zhuangzi does not write history, stories can be shaped, and truth is true.

The story is not over yet, Shushan has no toes to find the bigger and more convincing boss in his mind, and he is also the big man in Zhuangzi's mind, that is Lao Tzu. Note: Zhuangzi is speaking completely according to his own ideas.

The hometown of the Yellow Emperor

Shushan Wutoe asked Lao Tzu the questions in his heart: First, Confucius has not yet reached the realm of selflessness. The second is that even the gods who have no meritorious deeds have not attained it. Third, I'm afraid there are no saints who don't pursue fame, right?

Lao Tzu hurriedly reminded him: The consistency of life and death, which can and cannot be combined, told him that it can be used to lift the shackles of Confucius, and it is enough to do so.

Shushan Wutoe said: "This belongs to heavenly punishment, how can it be lifted." ”

Let's take a look: Shushan Wutoe feels that people who are imprisoned by the rules and regulations of his own cognition are being punished by heaven. In words that modern people can understand: it is not comfortable to be a human being. In life, the so-called sorrowful person is the comfort of the spiritual world.

Buddha

Does the Master really belong to those who are subject to "heavenly punishment"? Not necessarily, look at the Master's own statement: "Seventy and do what you want, do not exceed the rules." "Look at it! It's also at ease, like the state of life in which sesame seeds bloom and are rising. Even if you learn Confucianism, you can be at ease with the final result of perseverance.

Therefore, the Buddhist "Diamond Sutra" says: "Everything is like the Dharma, like a dream bubble, like dew and electricity." "What is the other sentence in front of you?" "If the Buddhists also raise their hands to speak, they say to Zhuangzi: Sages, gods, and supreme beings are also vain. But Zhuangzi's description of heavenly punishment as a spiritual punishment is true. The most serious damage to others is the spiritual injury, and it is in this kind of place that the enlightenment is broken, and the virtue (gain) of the peak of philosophy is also in this kind of place.

"The Theory of Heavenly Punishment"

The spiritual flower is pure in heart, and the vulgar is not stained with jade and pure face.

Heavenly punishment is often not deceitful, and it is comfortable and quiet to wait for Zhen.
