Specifically, in January, domestic fuel new energy vehicles performed well, regaining the domestic compact car sales championship after two years; sales of new energy vehicles fell sharply, in the sales of more than 10,000 units of six domestic compact cars, only one new energy vehicle on the list, BYD also rarely lost the domestic compact car sales champion.
In January, Geely Xingrui performed well, with sales exceeding 20,000 units for the first time, and won the domestic compact car sales championship with sales of 21,253 units, up 54.1% month-on-month.
Changan Yidong's sales also exceeded 20,000 units, ranking second with 20,898 units, a month-on-month increase of 93.4%, which is also the first time that Yidong's sales exceeded 20,000 units in two years.
As the sales champion of domestic compact cars last year, the BYD Qin PLUS DM-i sold 20,318 units in January, ranking third, a year-on-year decrease of 27.3%, setting the lowest sales performance since March last year.
Sales of three models, including Geely Emgrand, Changan UNI-V and Chery Arrizo 8, rose sharply, ranking fourth to sixth with sales of 19,341, 17,372 and 15,083 units in January, all higher than the previous month's sales.
Sales of all-electric compact cars fell almost across the board, with sales of the Aion S and BYD Qin PLUS EV both declining, ranking seventh and eighth with retail sales of only 9,534 and 8,926 units in January, down 37.3% and 32.3% month-on-month, respectively.
The Roewe i5 and Lynk & Co 03 also sold more than 8,000 units, ranking ninth and tenth with sales of 8,473 and 8,450 units, respectively, both higher than the previous month's sales. Changan Yida ranked 11th with sales of 7,623 units, an increase of 55.3% month-on-month.
BYD Destroyer 05 and Galaxy L6 sold 6,000+ units, ranking 12th and 13th, and MG5 sold 5,852 units, ranking 14th. In addition, Geely Binrui and Fengshen Yixuan sold 4,000+ units, ranking 15th and 16th.
The Changan Qiyuan A05, which was launched in October last year, ranked 19th with retail sales of 2,921 units in January this year, while Baojun Yunduo's sales halved with only 1,531 units in January, ranking 24th.
The newly launched Chery Fengyun A8 sold only 1,066 units in the first month, ranking 28th.
