The Spring Festival is a traditional festival of the Chinese nation. The Spring Festival has a long history, and the Han Chinese and many ethnic minorities hold various activities to celebrate. These activities are mainly based on respecting the elderly, praying for gratitude, family reunions, removing the old and welcoming the new, and praying for a good year. There are many folk customs for the Spring Festival, including drinking Laba porridge, worshipping the god Vesta, sweeping dust, pasting Spring Festival Lian, pasting New Year paintings, observing the New Year on Chinese New Year's Eve, eating dumplings, pressing New Year's money, and greeting the New Year.
