On the fourth day of the Lunar New Year, the Dongguan Museum Alliance recommended a different "dragon cultural relic" - the dragon-handled saber collected by the Memorial Hall of the Dongjiang Column in Guangdong.
The cultural relics knife is 97 cm long, the scabbard is 81 cm long, the blade is made of bronze and steel forging, the dragon-like handle and the handguard are made of copper, and it was collected in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in November 2009.

It is reported that the knife is a saber used by the new army in the late Qing Dynasty and was used by the Chinese army during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression.
The dragon is the totem of the Chinese nation. Since the Tang Dynasty, dragon patterns and dragon shapes have appeared in large numbers on royal clothing, and the Song Dynasty has made a prescriptive elaboration of the image of the dragon, which has made the dragon patterns with different degrees of arbitrariness in previous dynasties embark on a standardized track.

Chen Meng, a docent at the Dongjiang Column Memorial Hall, explained that after the defeat of the First Sino-Japanese War, the ruling class in the late Qing Dynasty began to form a new type of army, and the handle of the saber of the new army general was designed as a dragon head handle. In the feudal ruling class, the dragon pattern was a symbol of imperial power; in the late Qing Dynasty, the dragon pattern was a representative of rank; in the hands of the workers' and peasants' self-defense army, the dragon pattern saber was a sharp weapon against the Kuomintang reactionaries. ”
Guangdong Dongjiang Column Memorial Hall is located in Dawangling Village, Dalingshan Town, Dongguan City, close to the former site of the Dalingshan Anti-Japanese Base Area, a national key cultural relics protection unit and a national anti-Japanese war site, covering an area of 53,319 square meters.
During the Spring Festival holiday, the Guangdong Dongjiang Column Memorial Hall continued to be open. Citizens can walk into the memorial hall to pay homage to the "Dongjiang Tieliu Nanyue Banner", remember the history, and carry forward the spirit of the East Vertical.

Dongguan is the birthplace and one of the important areas of activity of the Dongjiang Column. Founded in October 1940 by the Third Brigade of the Guangdong People's Anti-Japanese Guerrillas, the Dalingshan Anti-Japanese Base Area was one of the earliest anti-Japanese base areas established behind enemy lines in South China, and an important part of the Dongjiang Anti-Japanese Base Area, one of the 19 anti-Japanese base areas in the country.
The Guangdong Dongjiang Column Memorial Hall has three sets of exhibitions: the "Dongjiang Iron Flow, Southern Guangdong Banner" Dongjiang Column Historical Theme Exhibition, the Restoration Exhibition of the Old Site of the Dalingshan Anti-Japanese Base Area, and the Dongguan National Defense Education Theme Park.

The content of the historical theme exhibition of the Dongjiang Column closely follows the historical background of the World Anti-Fascist War and the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the War of Liberation of the Chinese Nation, and objectively and comprehensively displays the glorious historical facts of the establishment, development, and victory of the Dongjiang Column.
The restoration and display of the old site of the Dalingshan Anti-Japanese Base Area reproduces the historical features of the military and civilians in the Dalingshan Anti-Japanese Base Area carrying out guerrilla struggles behind enemy lines, and the Hakka folk customs have strong characteristics.

The Dongguan National Defense Education Theme Park consists of three parts: the National Defense Weapons Exhibition Area, the War History and National Defense Weapons Photo Exhibition Area, and the National Defense Education Theme Exhibition. The national defense weapons exhibition area mainly displays national defense weapons such as antiaircraft guns, radar vehicles, missiles, and naval guns that have been retired in different periods on the mainland, and displays national defense education knowledge through various forms to create a new platform for national defense education.
