On the occasion of the Spring Festival in 2024, in order to care for the families who have lost their independence, enhance their confidence and happiness in life, and at the same time, give full play to the personal advantages of veterans to participate in volunteer service activities, the Social Work Department of the Yulin Community Work Association has carried out volunteer care activities for 4 families in Jinyu Community. A little care, a strong heart, let the lonely group feel the warmth from the society, so that they can "have love and not be lonely" this winter.
The volunteer horn sounded, and the veterans came when they heard the order. After the development of a series of activities of the honor tour support group in the early stage, under the guidance of social workers, the veterans formed a volunteer service team, and the content and form of the volunteer service were determined after discussion, and the veterans also actively participated in this volunteer activity.
In the house, under the guidance of the social worker, the veterans had a cordial conversation with the families who lost their independence, inquired in detail about their recent physical condition and living situation, and sent them Spring Festival couplets, eight-treasure porridge, toilet paper and other condolences, telling them to take care of their health, pay attention to electricity and fire in winter, cold and warmth, encourage them to live a healthy life, face difficulties bravely with a positive and optimistic attitude, and wish them a happy and peaceful Spring Festival. At the same time, social workers, volunteers and the elderly completed the handmade puzzles and pasted window flowers together to welcome the Jiachen Year of the dragon and prosperous era.
