With the joint efforts of both sides, Chengdu was successfully liberated, and more than 400 students from the Army Military Academy who participated in the uprising were also absorbed by the Communist Party and sent to the Southwest Military University to continue their studies and serve in the army after graduation.
Zhang Wenrong was assigned to become a telegraph liaison officer at 180 due to his systematic study of Morse cipher and military theory, and in April 1951, he followed the division headquarters to the Korean battlefield.
