Why are all technical partners kicked out?
In the past two days, I have seen a topic on some platforms: don't take technology too seriously, only poor people will be obsessed with technology!
In terms of technology, unless you have exclusive capabilities, and it is unique, maybe you can be valuable, but generally many technologies are easy for the market to price them, and some companies can generously give you a salary of 20% more than the market, but it is difficult for companies to give you more than 500% of the return.
If you are a partner of an enterprise and you are still doing technology, then you have to find a way to do two things: the first is technical protection, whether you can apply for protection of some core technologies in the name of your own personal patents, so that the enterprise and your technology at least have a commercial business relationship! The second aspect is to gradually get out of the front-line technical operator position, learn to cultivate technical team, such as learning management, learning product science, and learning some business thinking! So that your technical thinking and technical methodology can form a set of patterns in the enterprise, and it can also be an iterative model!
That is to say, it is necessary to get out of the iterative mode of the product, because the product iteration and update technology is very fast, and there are many such technical talents, as each of us grows older, many technical positions, if there is no strong barrier, then it will be easier for young people to get started! And young people have lower labor costs! Especially in the Internet industry, programming and design and other positions are typical!
The most brutal reality is that there is no money in the early stage of the enterprise, you need to contribute technology, and you also need technical bosses to sit in charge, so you can be tied up with high profits. But the business starts to make money, there is a more robust business model, and you are not involved in the technology.
Especially if the technology can't keep up with the business model, or the technical thinking can't keep up with the mainstream way. In addition, the technical efficiency can not keep up with the development speed of the enterprise! These will form a lot of crises! Technology partners often need to grow with the enterprise, and this growth is not for you to do in-depth growth, but breadth growth; many technology obsessives tend to get into the depth of technology and can't extricate themselves, and even forget the overall situation in order to overcome a technology, which is a taboo thing!
To be honest, when it comes to the maturity of the enterprise, the contribution of a technical partner is limited. But if you have mastered the core technology and can have a certain say in the industry, you can lead a lot of technical leadership, so that your peers are out of reach.
To put it bluntly, technical partners should not follow the mainstream technology to grow, but to follow the business trend of the industry to grow, to grow with the degree of innovation in the industry, to be cautious of cross-border entry of new technologies and new businesses, if you can, you should also use technical thinking and business thinking, learn to expand to other industries, so that you can sit in the position of technical partner and sit steadily!
In a word, if a technical partner can not be afraid to leave this company, and you are stared at by many peer business people, maybe you are successful! Don't have such thoughts: "For so many years, I have no credit and hard work" and "I have made a lot of contributions over the years, what is what I have achieved, this product function and that place I made, why should you kick me out" and so on!
In an enterprise, there should also be a sense of competition. Especially for senior managers or partners, in the later stage, maybe the later employees will stare at your position, maybe some external talents will also stare at your position, and the salary is not high at the beginning, how do you play? Some companies would rather pay you at one time, and are willing to compensate you to leave, because from the perspective of business thinking and business strategy, whether the long-term value can be contributed, this is the most important! And if a technical partner wants to make a long-term contribution, he must dedicate his energy to get rid of technical thinking.
