Launched in 2021 and filmed in Hawaii, The White Lotus attracted 1.9 million viewers when it aired, winning 10 of the 20 Emmy nominations in its first season, including the Emmy for Best Miniseries, and its second season premiering in December 2022 with 23 Emmy nominations set in Sicily.
