Snowfall will increase significantly and widen
It is expected that from the 2nd to the 5th, there will be rain to sleet and snow in central and southern Huanghuai, Jianghan, western and northern Jianghuai, northwest Hunan, central and northern Guizhou, and most of the above have moderate to heavy snow, and there will be blizzard to heavy snowfall on the first line from Jianghan to Huanghuai, and local heavy snowfall or extremely heavy snow!
The cumulative snowfall in Shaanxi, central and southern Shanxi, southern Hebei, Henan, Shandong, Hubei, northern and eastern Chongqing can reach 10~20 mm, and more than 30 mm locally. Especially in some areas of Henan and Hubei, the snowfall lasts for 4-5 days!
Shaanxi, southern North China, Huanghuai, Jianghan, northern Jianghuai and other places have 3~8 cm of new snow, of which the eastern part of Chongqing, the southwestern part of Hubei, the southern part of Henan, and the southern part of Shandong can reach 10~18 cm, and the local area can exceed 22 cm.
The rainfall will be more intense in the areas south of the Yangtze River

Precipitation in the south will continue until Chinese New Year's Eve
Starting from the 6th, with the weakening of the southern branch trough and the southward movement of supplementary cold air, this round of large-scale rain, snow and freezing weather will gradually come to an end, and the snowfall in the north will be significantly reduced. However, as the warm and humid airflow from the southwest is still active, the precipitation in the south will continue. In the current situation, until Chinese New Year's Eve, February 9, the precipitation in the south will be significantly reduced and stopped.
The cold air superimposed on the long-term rain and snow weather will lead to the temperature in most of the central and eastern parts of the country in the coming week at a low level, especially in some areas of Shandong, Henan, Anhui, Hubei, Hunan and other places, the temperature will be more than 6 °C lower than the normal early February, and the local low range will be more than 8 °C.
After the 5th, the cold air will slowly advance to southern China, and there will be a significant cooling at that time. The good news is that after the cold air comes down, South China's return to the south for many days will also be completely alleviated on the 6th, and the current situation shows that there is no need to worry about the recurrence of the return to the south before the 10th.
