In order to thoroughly implement Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization, vigorously promote the strategic deployment of Beautiful China, and do a solid job in the work related to ecological protection and compensation in the Autonomous Region, recently, the Department of Ecology and Environment of the Autonomous Region, together with the research team of the Academy of Environmental Planning of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, carried out field research and discussions on ecological protection compensation in some counties and districts.
From January 17th to 18th, the research team successively went to Yinchuan City, Wuzhong City, and Shizuishan City to conduct field research on the Yinchuan "Six Rights" Reform Integration Service Platform, Ningxia Desert Greening and Sand Industry Development Foundation, Hongsibao District Forest Economy, Hongsibao District Xinzhuang Area Historical Abandoned Mine Ecological Restoration Project, Ningxia Agricultural Reclamation Dasha Lake Regional Ecological Environment Oriented Development (EOD) Project, Zhangqian Grape County Helan Mountain Ecological Restoration and Wine Industry Integration Project.
On January 17, led by the Autonomous Region Department of Ecology and Environment, representatives of the Autonomous Region Development and Reform Commission, the Department of Finance, the Department of Natural Resources, the Department of Water Resources, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the Forestry and Grassland Bureau and other departments were invited to participate in the symposium on ecological protection and compensation. The meeting focused on the progress and problems of the implementation of ecological protection compensation, the definition of the subject and the compensation object, and the construction of the supervision mechanism.
The research team believes that Ningxia actively explores the establishment of an ecological protection compensation mechanism that is compatible with the requirements of green development and consistent with the overall layout of the region's ecological civilization construction, and has achieved certain results in the classification and compensation efficiency of ecological and environmental elements, the innovation of horizontal ecological protection compensation methods, and the exploration of market-oriented and diversified ecological protection compensation paths.
