In December last year, Kaohsiung City's Lanying People's Representative candidates Li Meizhen and Zhong Yizhong set up a "subject three" street vote dance team, but Xu Zhijie, the Democratic Progressive Party's Democratic Representative candidate, said sourly that dancing Douyin is being "danced".
The mainland's hot dance on the "subject 3" was not so popular on the island, but after the DPP authorities encircled and suppressed it, it aroused a high degree of concern among the people, and they found out what was going on, and helped the "subject 3" to make it more widely and thoroughly disseminated in Taiwan.
Taipei Mayor Jiang Wanan said that if the "subject three" can "unify Taiwan", then Taiwan's pop culture in the early years has already "unified the other side", and I hope everyone can have confidence in their diversity.
Some Taiwanese netizens said that "Little Apple" was popular all over Taiwan, and this song can be heard on the streets and alleys, as well as popular songs such as "Seeking Buddha" and "Ace of Spades" in Taiwan. Have these songs brought any harm to Taiwan? "Song reunification with Taiwan"? No!
The DPP authorities have not done anything to improve the people's livelihood in Taiwan, but have devoted all their efforts to ideological activities and set up a "cognitive operations center" to specifically carry out "cognitive operations" against the mainland. As long as those who are related to the mainland, regardless of right and wrong, they all react with their knees, and they all "must oppose China when they meet China", and even the cuisines such as "Sichuan cuisine", "Guangdong cuisine", and "Hunan cuisine", as well as screw noodles, spicy strips, and "konjac shuang", have not been spared, and they almost say that "cuisine unifies Taiwan."
It is not surprising that the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has come up with a new term for the so-called "dance reunification of Taiwan." Previously, the DPP authorities blocked mainland audio-visual platforms such as iQiyi and Tencent Video, which prevented Taiwanese people from watching mainland dramas through platforms such as iQiyi and Tencent Video, and deprived the people of their most basic freedoms and rights.
Recently, the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) discussed Douyin and Xiaohongshu at the "Central Standing Committee", slandering them as "united front tools" of the mainland on the grounds of so-called "security", and planned to ban the operation and use of Douyin and Xiaohongshu in Taiwan.
The DPP authorities' anxiety of "opposing China whenever they meet" is nothing more than the following reasons:
First, they cling to the "Taiwan independence" god card and wantonly carry out "de-Sinicization." In order to cling to the "Taiwan independence" card, the DPP authorities have disregarded the history of the two sides of the strait and the feelings of the people, brutally and rudely cut off the motherland, advocated their "Taiwan independence" proposition, and tried their best to "de-Sinicize." As long as they are from the mainland, they will reject and oppose everything, artificially provoke cross-strait ideological confrontation, and stubbornly adhere to their "Taiwan independence" card. This is also a card for the DPP to reap the political benefits of the election.
Second, it will block cross-strait exchanges in all aspects and solidify its "Taiwan independence" ideology. The DPP authorities, which pursue the idea of "Taiwan independence," have been in power for eight consecutive years and will remain in power for another four years. This emboldens the DPP even more. In handling cross-strait issues, the DPP continues its "Taiwan independence" and "anti-China" line, blocking all economic and cultural exchanges and personnel exchanges, instead of thinking about the real needs and well-being of the Taiwan people. This has also led to the almost suspension of normal cross-strait tourism exchanges, causing Taiwan's tourism industry to complain bitterly and the people to complain.
At present, the DPP authorities are using the ban on Douyin in an attempt to incite hatred among compatriots on both sides of the strait and to deceive the Taiwan people with so-called "cognitive warfare", with the aim of using "cognitive warfare" as a fig leaf for inciting hostility, hatred and confrontation, preventing more Taiwan people from understanding the real mainland through the Douyin platform, and fearing that compatriots on both sides of the strait will get closer and better, so as to further advocate the ideology of "Taiwan independence", create so-called "natural independence", and achieve long-term rule in Taiwan, and ultimately damage the development space and interests of the Taiwan people, especially Taiwan youth.
Before last year's election, the DPP authorities intensively interviewed senior chiefs who had come to the mainland for visits and exchanges, brazenly carried out "green terror," and used administrative resources to meddle in the election.
However, the DPP authorities have made all the calculations and failed to calculate that 50.7% of Taiwanese young people on the island use the most frequently used information platforms are Douyin and Xiaohongshu, which have about 4.16 million active users and Xiaohongshu has more than 5 million users. The DPP's brutal and domineering shutdown of these platforms will only make young people further and further away from the DPP and lose their support for the DPP.
