On the morning of January 29th, the activity room of Huangqiao Village, Maogang Town, "China Yinglian Cultural Village" was crowded and lively, and a grassroots public welfare activity under the culture of "displaying folk culture and promoting rural revitalization" sent Spring Festival couplets and blessings added a festive and peaceful atmosphere to the upcoming Spring Festival. Teachers and volunteers from the Municipal Couplet Society and the District Calligraphers Association jointly wrote the character "Fu" and Spring Festival couplets and presented them to the villagers.
At the event, Jiang Milan, a sixth-grader, lay on the table and wrote the word "Fu", which attracted everyone to watch, and many villagers picked up the written word "Fu" and left satisfied. After learning that the village was about to carry out the activity of writing Spring Festival couplets and sending blessings, two students took the initiative to sign up in the village, hoping to add New Year's flavor to the New Year with the Spring Festival couplets with the fragrance of Hanmo and send blessings to the villagers. "I was so happy to come to the scene to write Spring Festival couplets for my grandparents, and I felt a different New Year's flavor through my hands. Xia Yuchen is a young calligrapher at this event, and he said that he will continue to practice more and use calligraphy to spread traditional culture.
In the festive atmosphere of the New Year, the calligraphers splashed ink and integrated good wishes and profound traditional culture into the Spring Festival couplets and blessing characters, sending the best New Year blessings to the villagers. The villagers watched as they carefully selected their favorite couplets.
Huangqiao Village is a village characterized by Yinglian culture, and in 2021, it was awarded the title of "China Yinglian Cultural Village" by the China Yinglian Society. This event is a traditional brand activity jointly initiated by Shanghai Poetry Couplet, which has been carried out for 13 consecutive years.
