"It's amazing that so many experts come to the door to organize a group to deliver health. On the morning of January 26, a provincial and municipal medical and health experts volunteered to enter the community with the theme of "welcoming the New Year and sending health", which was held in District 2, Fenghu New Town, Gulou District, Fuzhou.
The event was hosted by the Fujian Provincial Medical Association and the Fujian Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention, undertaken by the Science Popularization Branch of the Fujian Medical Association, the Science Popularization Professional Committee of the Fujian Provincial Preventive Medicine Association, and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention of Gulou District, Fuzhou City, and co-organized by Fenghu Community, Hongshan Town, Gulou District, Fuzhou City, and Hongshan Town Community Health Service Center, Gulou District, Fuzhou City.
At the event, 15 doctors from various medical institutions in Fujian, city and district provided free consultations for residents, and they were divided into different specialty groups to provide professional medical services for community residents. The free clinic site has multiple diagnosis and treatment areas such as orthopedics, ophthalmology, vascular surgery, cardiovascular medicine, gastroenterology, hepatobiliary surgery, respiratory and critical care department, and geriatric medicine.
The doctors patiently and meticulously asked and examined each resident, and answered and guided different symptoms and questions. At the same time, there is also a health consultation area, where workers from provincial and municipal disease control and community communities popularize health knowledge and disease prevention and control methods to residents and improve their health literacy.
It is worth mentioning that in addition to free clinics and health consulting services, Chen Jinhui, deputy director of the Health Education Promotion Center of the Fujian Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention, also carried out a popular science lecture on the theme of "Healthy Lifestyle in the 21st Century" for the elderly in the elderly canteen.
The event received positive responses and wide praise from the community residents. Residents said that through this free clinic consultation activity, they not only received professional medical services, but also learned a lot of health knowledge and had a deeper understanding of their own health.
Yang Yichang, director of the Fuzhou Gulou District Center for Disease Control and Prevention, said that the holding of the "New Year and Health" activity is the embodiment of in-depth study and implementation of theme education and practice of "four grassroots", which not only improves the health literacy and health awareness of residents, but also creates a good social atmosphere.
Chen Jinhui said that this event is an initiative of the Provincial Medical Association to actively respond to the call of the country to sink medical resources into the community and provide residents with more convenient medical services.
