According to the information of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, at present, various airlines have proposed that during the Spring Festival in 2024, more than 2,500 new international scheduled flights and overtime charter flights will be arranged, and the increase in flights will also directly drive the early heating up of international flight bookings during the Spring Festival in 2024.
It is estimated that during the Spring Festival this year, the flight volume of Shanghai Pudong and Hongqiao airports will reach 86,000 (including 56,000 flights at Pudong Airport and 30,000 flights at Hongqiao Airport), a year-on-year increase of 29.8%, and the passenger flow will be 12.93 million passengers (including 7.73 million passengers at Pudong Airport and 5.2 million passengers at Hongqiao Airport), a year-on-year increase of 57.6%, basically recovering to the level of the same period in 2019.
The peak of passenger flow from the two major airports is expected to be concentrated from February 7 to 9, and the peak of inbound passenger flow is expected to occur from February 16 to 17. Popular domestic routes are concentrated in Dalian, Shenyang, Changchun, Harbin, Chongqing, Kunming and other places.
During this year's Spring Festival, China Eastern Airlines plans to put into operation 783 passenger aircraft, with a total flight hours of more than 330,000 hours, and all four of its C919 domestic large aircraft will usher in the "debut" of the Spring Festival and fly on the Beijing-Shanghai and Shanghai-Chengdu routes.
The peak of ticket sales before the National Railway Spring Festival
