1. Lao Tzu

Lao Tzu was the founder of the Taoist school, and his book Tao Te Ching is one of the ancient Chinese philosophical classics.

His philosophical thought advocates the rule of inaction, the good is like water, emphasizes going with the flow, returning to simplicity, and believes that "Tao" is the origin of all things in the universe.

Confucius was the founder of Confucianism, and his ideology advocated humanistic morality with "benevolence" as the core, advocated "etiquette", and emphasized that the words and deeds of a gentleman should conform to moral norms.

In his later years, Confucius revised the Six Classics of Poems, Books, Rites, Music, Yi Chuan, and Spring and Autumn. After the death of Confucius, the descendants recorded the words, deeds, quotations and thoughts of Confucius and his disciples, and compiled them into the Confucian classic Analects.

Zhu Zi is an honorific title for Zhu Xi, a famous physicist, thinker and philosopher in the Southern Song Dynasty.

Zhu Xi has written a lot, including "Annotations on the Collection of Chapters and Sentences of the Four Books", "Explanation of Taiji Diagrams", "Commentary on the General Book", "Zhou Yi Reader", "Annotations on the Collection of Chu Ci", etc. Among them, the "Annotations on the Collection of Chapters and Sentences of the Four Books" became the standard of the imperial examination, and his scientific ideas became the official philosophy of the Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties.
