A total of six gold medals were awarded on the fifth day of competition after the opening ceremony of the Gangwon 2024 Winter Youth Olympic Games in five disciplines: alpine skiing, biathlon, freestyle skiing, short track speed skating and snowboarding. The Chinese delegation scored 1 gold and 1 silver in a single day, including the gold medal in the short track mixed and Han Linshan won the silver medal in the freestyle skiing slopestyle event, and currently has accumulated 4 golds, 7 silvers and 1 bronze to temporarily rank fourth in the gold medal list. In addition, the Chinese curling mixed team advanced to the semifinals with the first place in the group, and the Chinese women's 3×3 ice hockey team will compete for the bronze medal after losing to South Korea.
