"Flowers" Nong watched the felling?
Citywalk侬体验过伐?
Ran a lap and sore feet?
Nong is in a hurry, Allah has dry goods~
Recently, a "Flowers" has brought fire to Citywalk again, but when you stroll through the ten-mile market, your calf is faintly sore, what's going on? Which muscle is "protesting"? Before "you want to go, Allah is the most chic", Xiao Jia invited the rehabilitation technician of Nanxiang Hospital to talk to you about this mysterious muscle-soleus muscle.
It is part of the triceps muscle of the calf, located on the back of the calf, close to the calf bone, and is named because it is shaped like a flounder. When we walk on the heel of the ground, it contracts forcefully, which can return blood from the leg to the heart, commonly known as the "second heart".
What is the function of the soleus muscle?
1. Ankle plantar flexion (the action of pressing the accelerator).
2. Stabilize the ankle (maintain balance).
3. Walking, running, jumping, etc. all work.
What are the symptoms after a soleus muscle strain?
1. Weakened soleus muscle contraction can affect pumping efficiency, which may lead to dizziness after standing for a long time.
2. Soleus weakness can affect postural stability and normal gait efficiency in the ankle.
3. Overactivity (spasticity) of the soleus muscle may cause hyperextension of the knee. This condition often occurs in people who cause soleus muscle spasms after a stroke.
4. Trigger points in the soleus muscle can cause pain in the back of the calf, Achilles tendon and heel, and may also cause varicose veins in the calf.
What to do after a strain on soleus muscle?
1. Press and knead the mountain cave
The Chengshan point is located on the back of the calf, from the knee socket to the midpoint of the heel line. It is recommended that when self-massaging the Chengshan acupoint, you can first use the fingertips of two thumbs or one thumb to gently press the acupuncture points, press for 10 seconds, and then gently rub for 20 seconds.
2. Buttress stretching
Stand in a front-to-back position, with your left foot in front and your right foot behind, push your hands against the wall, press your right heel down, press your knee down, stretch your right soleus muscle, and vice versa.
3. Seated calf raise
Calf raises (tiptoeing) in a seated or knee-flexed position will avoid excessive involvement of the gastrocnemius muscle in contraction and will be more conducive to stimulating the soleus muscle.
