Sichuan Province, referred to as "Sichuan" or "Shu", is a provincial-level administrative region of the People's Republic of China, the birthplace of Taoism in China, the birthplace of ancient Shu civilization, and the place where the world's earliest paper money "Jiaozi" appeared. Sichuan Province is located in the interior of southwest China, in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, and is known as the "Land of Abundance". The capital of Sichuan Province is Chengdu. Sichuan Province has a long history of salt industry culture and wine culture, and the culture of the Three Kingdoms, the Red Army culture and the Ba culture are even more splendid. The historical representative culture of Sichuan is "Bashu culture", the landform of Sichuan Province is very different, the topography is complex and diverse, the height difference is huge, the topography is high in the west and low in the east, and it is composed of mountains, hills, plains, basins and plateaus. Sichuan Province is divided into three major climates, namely the middle subtropical humid climate of the Sichuan Basin, the subtropical semi-humid climate of the mountainous areas of southwest Sichuan, and the alpine and plateau alpine climate of northwest Sichuan.

1. Jiuzhaigou National Nature Reserve

Jiuzhaigou National Nature Reserve is located in Zhangzha Town, Jiuzhaigou County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, in the southern section of the Minshan Mountains in the northwest of Sichuan Province, on the northeast side of the Gonggang Ridge at the southern end of the Minshan Mountains, more than 400 kilometers away from Chengdu, and is a large branch ditch at the source of the Baishui River in the upper reaches of the Jialing River in the Yangtze River system, with a total area of 65,074.7 hectares.

There are four scenic spots in Jiuzhaigou National Nature Reserve, such as Shuzheng Ditch, Zechawa Ditch, Rize Ditch and Zharu Ditch, which are divided into a number of large and small scenic spots, with the waterscapes such as plateau calcified lakes, calcified waterfalls and calcified beach flows as the main body, its waterscape scale is huge, the scenery type is many, the number is numerous, the form is beautiful, the surface is fine and the environment is good. The forest coverage rate of Jiuzhaigou National Nature Reserve is more than 80%, there are 38 species of lianas, and 74 species of rare plants under national protection. There are 122 species of terrestrial vertebrates, including 21 species of mammals, 93 species of birds, 4 species of reptiles and 4 species of amphibians.

Jiuzhaigou is a world natural heritage, a national key scenic spot, a national AAAAA tourist attraction, a national nature reserve, a national geopark, a world network of biosphere reserves, and the first nature reserve in China with the main purpose of protecting natural scenery.

2. Leshan Giant Buddha Scenic Area

Leshan Giant Buddha Scenic Area is located in the suburbs of Leshan City, at the confluence of the three rivers of Minjiang River, Dadu River and Qingyi River, with a scenic area of 17.88 square kilometers, facing Leshan City across the river, located in the middle of Lingyun Mountain, Lingyun Mountain is 448 kilometers above sea level and has a circumference of about 3.5 kilometers. The lush forest and bamboo cultivation on the mountain are verdant all the year round, and the three rivers under the mountain converge, enjoying the reputation of "the crown of the southwest landscape", and being praised by the literati and writers of the past dynasties.

In 1984, the Leshan Giant Buddha was announced by the State Council as a national scenic spot, and in 1991, it was selected as one of the top 40 tourist attractions in China. On July 6, 2011, Leshan Giant Buddha Scenic Area was promoted to a national 5A-level tourist attraction.

In the 80s of the last century, the Leshan Sleeping Buddha was discovered, and the breathtaking thing is that the Leshan Giant Buddha is just located in the heart of the Leshan Sleeping Buddha, constituting the eternal wonder of "the heart is the Buddha".

3. Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Base

Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Base is located at No. 1375, Panda Avenue, Chenghua District, Chengdu, Sichuan Province, 10 kilometers away from the city center and more than 30 kilometers away from Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport. The base covers an area of 1,000 acres. As an "Ecological Demonstration Project for Ex situ Conservation of Giant Pandas", it is famous for the protection and breeding of endangered wild animals endemic to China, such as giant pandas and red pandas. The Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Base was established on the basis of raising, treating and breeding giant pandas in Chengdu Zoo. In 1997, the Open Laboratory was established.

The total area of Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Base is 3,570 acres, of which the expansion area is 2,535 acres. The base simulates the wild ecological environment of giant pandas by gardening techniques, with giant panda delivery rooms, panda breeding areas, scientific research centers, and panda hospitals distributed in an orderly manner, and several luxury panda "villas" scattered in the mountains and forests. The expansion area fully follows and follows the original topography, using mountain conflicts and streams to form a multi-level landscape belt of mountain valleys, and divides the project into multiple areas according to the characteristics of the panda theme. By the end of 2020, the giant panda population reached 215, making it the world's largest captive breeding population of giant pandas.

In 1995, the Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Base was awarded the title of "Top 500 in the World" by the United Nations Environment Programme. In 2006, Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Base was rated as a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.
