Yuncheng Social Welfare Institute: Four Measures to Build a "Sunshine Zone" for Minors

In recent years, the Yuncheng Social Welfare Institute of Shanxi Province has always taken the concept of "everything for the children", conscientiously implemented the policy of guaranteeing the bottom of the pocket, accurately provided care services, and effectively created a "sunny zone" for the survival, life and development of minors.

The first is to consolidate the position of survival, strengthen the foundation and consolidate the foundation and start from a high level. Invested 50 million yuan, built a new high-standard children's welfare home, and set up a rehabilitation center, a parenting center, a special education department, a medical room, an activity room and a library and other places, a total of 75 adopters, equipped with more than 50 cadres and workers, 15 professional and technical personnel, and dedicated to providing nursing, catering, medical treatment, rehabilitation, special education and other all-round and multi-level services for orphans and disabled children and adolescents in the hospital.

The second is to protect physical and mental health and optimize management and strong guarantees. Rescue rehabilitation services have been carried out for children under 6 years old, 19 children under 18 years old have been surgically rehabilitated, 20 outpatient examinations have been completed, 32 people have been hospitalized, two special education classes and an art class have been opened, and literary and artistic debriefing performances have been held, so that minors have enriched their childhood life in the study and performance of special talents.

The third is to control the coordinates of life and escort the direction of legal system study. Special reports on legal system study were compiled on time, special lectures on mental health knowledge, summer safety, and girls' adolescent self-protection were set up, juvenile crime films such as "Juvenile Offenders" were organized and watched, negative cases such as the "Magaju Incident" were studied, moot courts were held, and "Youth Rights Protection Posts" were set up to help children not be biased and make mistakes on the road of life.

The fourth is to highlight the warmth of society and convey true feelings and love. Adhering to the responsibility of caring for and serving minors, with the help of projects such as the China Social Welfare Foundation, the Angel Home Foundation and the Haode Foundation, we have carried out free rehabilitation training for 104 local children with disabilities and their parents, helped 198 orphans find suitable families at home and abroad, and provided assistance to 633 children in distress in the city, and distributed more than 400,000 yuan of funds, so that more minors felt the care of the party and the social warmth of the new era.
