#实话实说#
In 2001, a 900-square-meter villa was sold in the noble residential area of Kowloon Hall in Hong Kong, which made people call it "strange things".
This villa was previously valued at 120 million, and after the financial turmoil, the seller urgently needed money and bid 52 million.
As a result, the buyer took the initiative to add 4 million and bought the villa at a price of 56 million.
The identity of the seller is also very strange, in the 80s of the last century, he was a figure on a par with Li Ka-shing, and he was on a par with Li Ka-shing in the Hong Kong richest list.
It's just that he and Li Ka-shing have chosen different paths. Li Ka-shing let his capital grow like a snowball, and this rich man on the same level as Li Ka-shing finally ended up at the age of 82 and had to sell his house.
He is Tian Jiabing, and his story is full of anger.
Tian Jiabing's business experience is different from many people.
In 1919, Tian Jiaping was born in Tai Po, Guangdong, and his family was originally well-off. However, with the early death of his father, Tian Jiaping dropped out of school at the age of 16 and took over the family's kiln factory.
Tian Jiabing doesn't read much, but he is very willing to use his brain. After taking over the kiln factory at a young age, he improved the kiln firing process, and the quality of the fired tile kiln pieces was much better than that of others.
At the age of 18, Tin Ka Ping left his hometown in Tai Po and went to Vietnam, where he built a kiln factory called "Tai An Long".
He brought his own improved kiln process to Vietnam, and soon, "Tai An Long" became famous, with high quality and low price and large shipments, and seized most of the market share at once.
If you change to someone else, you can't wait to continue to expand the market, squeeze out your peers, and monopolize yourself, Tian Jiabing doesn't think so. He called the bosses of the other four kiln factories together, saved up a bureau, and discussed that everyone would work together to make things bigger and better, and his own kiln technology would also be shared with everyone.
When the owners of the four kiln factories heard this, they were so happy that they couldn't keep their mouths shut, and they also admired Tian Jiabing's mind from the bottom of their hearts.
Benefiting oneself and others, Tien Gia Binh not only quickly became the largest supplier of porcelain clay in Vietnam, but also won a good reputation.
Unfortunately, the peaceful days did not last long, and two years later, the war broke out. After Tian Jiaping allocated the company's inventory to the manufacturer, he had no business to operate.
At this time, his brother Tian Jialie invited him to Indonesia to help his nephew Tian Cangxian take care of the "Yihe" business. Tian Jiaping came to Indonesia alone, still familiar with the Boxer business, but his brother suddenly fell seriously ill and died just a few months later.
Tian Jiaping had to take on the burden of taking care of the "Boxer" and also had to raise four other nephews who were still minors.
Three years later, the Japanese army invaded Indonesia and demanded that all foreigners move out of the coastal area where the Boxer was located within a month. Tian Jiabing was forced to leave, and when he left, he left all the cash to his nephew Tian Cangxian so that he could resume trading.
Tian Jiabing's turn was learned by the clansman Tian Guozhang and extended an olive branch to him.
Tian Guozhang has a hardware company in Jakarta, he knows Tian Jiabing's personality and ability, and he trusts the company to Tian Jiabing. This is also the first time that Tian Jiabing really eats other people's food and works for other people.
Although he is a company manager, he has never thought about whether it is hard or not, regardless of personal gains and losses, and runs the company as his own. Three years later, in 1945, Tian Jiaping's fate ushered in a big turnaround.
In this year, Japan surrendered, Indonesia became independent, and the prospects for industry and commerce were promising, and Tien Ka Ping decided to re-establish his own business.
After Tian Guozhang found out, he gave full support and happily borrowed a sum of money to Tian Jiabing. Several ethnic people in Indonesia learned about it and lent him money, and even overseas Chinese who were not from Tai Po were willing to support Tin Ka Ping's cause.
His character, his ability, won him all this.
In the spring of 1946, Tian Jiaping's Chaolun Gum Factory was completed and put into operation, and from the beginning, the products sold very well.
In just five years, Tian Jiaping not only paid off the loan, but also increased the Nanyang Gum Factory, which is well-known in Indonesia.
In the 50s, when the new plastic film entered the Indonesian market, Tian Jiaping was keenly aware of the impact of this product on the gum industry. He first visited more than a dozen plastic factories in Japan and other places, and then decisively transformed the gum factory.
His decisiveness not only seized the opportunity for the enterprise, but also made him realize that advanced technology is the biggest driving force, and the progress of science and technology depends on education.
From this time on, Tian Jiabing already had some thoughts in his heart, and in the future, he must repay the society through education.
Beginning in 1957, Tin Ka Ping realized that the situation of the Chinese diaspora in Indonesia was getting worse. He once again gave up his foundation in Indonesia and came to Hong Kong to look for the next development opportunity.
In 1959, on the streets and alleys of Hong Kong, people rushed to tell each other: "Some people are reclaiming the sea, using their own money to reclaim the sea." At that time, such behavior was too unusual.
Everyone is curious about which kind of hero this reclamation is.
It wasn't until the end of the following year, at the gathering of the Hong Kong Plastics Industry Association, that the low-key and simple Tin Ka Ping appeared, and everyone could see the true face of this land reclamation god.
At that time, all the land in Hong Kong's New Territories was frozen, and Tin Ka Ping thought of a way to reclaim land from the sea by the Tuen Mun coast. Tian's Plastic Factory was also built on this piece of land.
Tin Plastics Factory has not only brought the development of the plastics industry to Hong Kong, but also the entire chemical industry. Tian Jiabing knew that the profits of the plastic industry were meager, but through this, it could promote the development of the downstream processing industry and open up the international market. And these are his real intentions.
Like when he went to Vietnam alone, Tien Ka Ping, who once again laid a solid foundation, knows the importance of win-win cooperation and support for his fellow villagers. Many of his fellow villagers were taken care of by him, and after learning from him, they also started their own businesses.
For more than ten years, Tian's Chemical Factory has become one of the largest artificial leather manufacturing plants in Southeast Asia, and Tian Jiabing is also known as the "King of Artificial Leather" and "King of Chemical Industry".
In 1970, seeing the future prospects of the real estate industry, Tin Ka Ping bought industrial land at a low price and built four industrial buildings before and after. While Tian Jiabing's wealth was growing rapidly, he had already begun to set his sights on the interior of the motherland.
Li Ka-shing, who is also extremely rich like him, has set his sights on the mainland for the growth of wealth. Tian Jiabing is different, in 1979 he made a free donation to the second plastic factory in Foshan, Guangdong: a complete set of state-of-the-art artificial leather production equipment.
In addition to sending equipment, Tian Jiabing also provides observation, training and other support for many domestic enterprises, and has cultivated a large number of talents for the artificial leather industry in the mainland.
As the saying goes, "a peer business is a thief", and Tian Jiaping also knows that in this way, his own interests will be damaged. But he said, "My own interests have suffered a little loss, but the interests of the country can grow dozens of times." Your own business is a small matter, but the country's business is a big thing. ”
"Tianshi is the cradle of the Chinese leather industry", this is the consensus of the industry.
What everyone didn't expect was that Tian Jiabing's next "profit" would make people cry.
In 1982, Tin Ka Ping donated all his four industrial buildings and used tens of millions of rental income every year for public welfare, establishing the Tin Ka Ping Foundation, which is purely public welfare.
Two years later, Tin Ka Ping simply handed over the factory to the children to run and manage, and became a professional philanthropist himself. After some careful consideration, he decided to spend all the money on education.
With his donation, a primary and secondary school in Tianjiabing was built in the mainland, and one Tianjiabing building after another was erected.
His donation is not only the money, but more importantly, the people and the heart.
He always tries his best to attend the inauguration of each building, and he will also carefully check whether the planning and design of each building is reasonable. But he himself is never extravagant, and the marriage of his children is also simple, and on his 80th birthday, he does not even set a table and banquet.
He didn't have a special car, only took the subway bus, wore a pair of leather shoes for ten years, and mended his socks. For decades, he only had four suits in total, and an electronic watch had been worn for more than ten years, and he didn't want others to pay too much attention to it. In a place like Hong Kong, where prices are high, Tin Ka Ping's monthly living expenses do not exceed 3,000 yuan.
Once, Tian Jiaping and his wife were attending an event at a school, and when they were about to leave the conference room, he suddenly found that his wife still had half a cup of tea in her teacup, and immediately asked his wife to drink the remaining half cup of tea.
The most "outrageous" thing is that he actually wants to sell his house in order to donate.
After the financial crisis in 1997, Tian Jiaping's business was also greatly affected, and he was unable to come up with enough funds to pay the promised donations for a while.
After thinking about it, he actually sold the 900-square-meter villa where he had lived for nearly 40 years. This was bought by Tian Jiaping in the 60s, and the family of more than 20 people has many memories in this villa.
Before the financial turmoil, the house was valued at 100 million, but in 2001, if it was rushed to sell, the villa could only be sold for more than 50 million.
At this time, his family, who had always supported him, also advised: "You are so old, if you sell it, you won't even have a place to live." ”
Tian Jiabing doesn't think so: "I promised other people's promises, and I have to do it." Besides, it is a waste for us two elderly people to live in such a big house, and we have to spend money to hire someone to take care of it every month. If you donate to schools, each school can donate more than 20 schools based on 2.5 million yuan. ”
In this way, Tian Jiabing negotiated with the buyer to sell his villa for 52 million. The buyer learned that Tian Jiabing sold the house to help students do public welfare, and was deeply moved, and offered to add 4 million.
After the villa was sold, Tian Jiabing and his wife rented a 130-square-meter apartment not far away, and every day when they opened the window, they could see the swimming pool in the villa and remember the happy years in the past.
Over the years, Tin Ka Ping has donated to build 93 universities, 166 middle schools, 44 primary schools, more than 20 kindergartens and professional schools, and more than 1,800 rural school libraries.
In 2018, 99-year-old Tian Jiabing finished his life.
Li Ka-shing, who became a wealthy man at the same time, turned Hong Kong into the "city of the Lee family", the city of Tin Ka Ping, in the hearts of every student.
