The skewers of "Sing Lingnan" sung by the choir of Guangdong Experimental Middle School ignited the atmosphere of the award ceremony. The members of the choir put on dance skirts and turned into Lingnan girls, holding oil-paper umbrellas, singing and dancing with the children of the primary school of the Provincial Shiyuncheng Campus, interpreting the Pearl River in their dreams, and the beautiful Cantonese nursery rhymes such as "Falling Rain" and "Moonlight" opened the curtain of the award ceremony.

In the online solicitation stage, a total of tens of thousands of submissions were received, and after preliminary screening by the organizing committee, a total of more than 800 works were included in the online voting display. Through the scoring form of online voting accounting for 10% and expert review accounting for 90%, 42 first prizes, 142 second prizes, 218 third prizes, 419 excellence awards, 67 excellent instructors and 38 excellent organizational units were finally selected.

A unique dialogue on the inheritance of Lingnan culture was also carried out at the event. Liu Sifen, a famous novelist, scholar, painter and winner of the Mao Dun Literature Award, Luo Tao, a senior media person, literary and historical scholar, and consultant of the Guangdong Provincial Cultural Society, and Zhong Hao, a student of Guangdong Experimental Middle School, launched a unique dialogue on the theme of "How 'rich' is Lingnan culture?".
Liu Sifen introduced the historical development of Lingnan culture, inclusiveness and enterprising, and deepened everyone's understanding of the essence of Lingnan culture. Liu Sifen said, "The center of gravity of ancient civilization is in the Central Plains, and modern civilization is started in Lingnan." Luo Tao talked about the important role played by Lingnan culture in the salvation of modern China, "In the face of the impact of the wave of Western culture, Cantonese people made efforts to absorb excellent foreign culture and protect the essence of local culture, and made outstanding contributions to the inheritance of excellent traditional Chinese culture." Luo Tao said that Chinese culture has been compatible since ancient times, and more than 1,000 years ago, Cantonese people made the most outstanding contribution to the localization of foreign Buddhist culture, so that Chinese culture has been continuously absorbed and integrated in the collision of different civilizations, enriching its own connotation.
"I'm a foreigner, it's so difficult to learn Xi Cantonese, is there any shortcut?" Liu Sifen and Luo Tao did not hesitate to support her, there are three ways: one is to sing more Cantonese songs, the second is to talk more, and the third is to be cheeky and not afraid of making mistakes. Luo Tao also improvised a recitation of "Man Jianghong" in Cantonese on the spot, showing the classical charm and unique charm of Cantonese.
