Having heard of the wonders of India, a mysterious power seems to envelop the land forever. So, I embarked on a journey to discover the real India, curious and looking forward to the unknown. However, when I was there, I realized that the real life in India was far more diverse and complex than I had imagined.
On the first day, I set foot on Indian soil. The air is filled with the scent of spices, and the streets are filled with colourful costumes and vibrant crowds. However, this is not everything for all India. Walking into the alley, I saw the other side: poverty and struggle. In the narrow, crowded streets, the people of the slums struggled to live in a very different environment than I imagined the paradisiacal India.
By chance, I met a young man named Raj. He shared with me the story of his life and the situation in his hometown. Raj is a young man with rich dreams, he is full of energy and a desire for life. His village is not as poor as I imagined, but full of life and community spirit. This experience taught me that the real life in India is not simply defined by a superficial picture, but requires in-depth understanding and feeling.
The next day, I decided to go into the market and experience the local way of life. The bustling market is filled with a wide variety of goods, spices, clothing and handicrafts. However, there is much more hidden behind the market. I got acquainted with a craftsman who skillfully crafted beautiful crafts with his hands. He told me that these works are not only works of art, but also the source of life for him and his family. This made me realize that behind this seemingly prosperous market is the crystallization of the hard work of many people and the support of life.
On my last day in India, I decided to explore the historical sites. The ancient buildings and temples showcase the rich culture and history of India. At the same time, however, I also saw cultural clashes and social issues. Walking through the ruins of history, I began to think that the real richness of this country lies in its diversity of cultures and tolerance, but it is also in this diversity that there are frictions and challenges between different cultures.
In this short journey, I saw the diversity and complexity of India. The country is not simply black and white, but gray in all its forms. It is full of charm and vitality, but it also has challenges and difficulties. But it's this complexity that makes up the real India, a country to be explored and explored.
Looking back on this journey, I realized that real life doesn't always correspond to our imaginations. India is not only a colorful landscape, but also a variety of life and human feelings. It taught me to let go of my imagination and to explore the real side and understand the deeper story behind a country.
Perhaps, this short 4 days and 3 nights is just the beginning, a departure, to understand this ever-changing country, it takes more time and thought. But this experience will forever be a revelation of what India is really like and inspire me to explore more unknown territories and learn more about different cultures and lives.
