Due to the low urbanization rate in the local area, many rural schools are located in remote rural areas, with traffic congestion and relatively weak cultural and recreational facilities. Together with the China Youth Palace Association, Tang Meigao trekked into three remote rural primary schools to carry out public welfare activities in mobile children's palaces, bringing various toys such as basketballs, footballs, and building blocks to left-behind children, and opening corresponding courses, sending knowledge and joy to children in remote villages, and opening children's dreams of taking off.
"Hope Bathhouse", let children "bathe" as they like
Taking a warm hot shower on a cold winter day and washing off sweat stains on a hot summer day is a natural thing for city kids, but it can be a luxury for boarding students in the mountainous regions of Yunnan. In order to help solve the problem of lack of bathroom supplies in schools, meet the children's bathing needs, and ensure the physical and mental health of boarding students, Tang Meigao and Shanghai Hulian Poverty Alleviation Public Welfare Center donated more than tens of thousands of yuan of bathing materials to Wenshan Prefecture Rural School, so that students in mountainous areas can also "bathe" as they like.
A winter quilt warms the children's body and mind
During the service, he actively went to the grassroots frontline and learned that the water quality of the township schools in Wenshan is relatively hard, and students need to bring water from home to the school to drink, which is extremely inconvenient. As the temperature drops, the mountainous areas are colder, and the children from more difficult families lack winter blankets. In order to allow the children to drink clean water and cover with warm quilts, Tang Meigao and other members of the Wenshan detachment worked together to coordinate and raise nearly 70,000 yuan to purchase and donate 5 drinking water equipment and 500 winter quilts to the families of poor students in Beng'e Township, Yanshan County, Wenshan Prefecture, encouraging the children in difficulty to carry forward the spirit of hard work, self-improvement and hard work.
He said that during the six-month volunteer service in Wenshan Prefecture, Yunnan Province, he experienced the enthusiasm and sincerity of the people in the remote frontiers, saw the gap between the economic and social development of the eastern and western regions, and felt the thirst for knowledge and the vision for the future of the children in the mountainous areas.
