Title: A Trip to Eritrea: How I Really Felt After My Visit

I recently returned home from a trip to Eritrea with a wealth of experience and deep insights. This trip gave me a deeper understanding of this small country in East Africa and allowed me to experience many unforgettable moments in a strange land.

The streets of Eritrea are exotic, and each one exudes a unique historical and cultural atmosphere. When I walked through the capital city of Asmara, I felt like I had traveled back in time, where the architecture is full of Italian retro style, and I can't help but sigh at the warmth of history. I interacted with the local residents in the streets and alleys, and felt their simple and friendly way of treating people, which gave me a deeper understanding of the cultural customs of this country.

Although Eritrea is not a well-known tourist destination internationally, it is this purity that is not commercialized that brings me closer to the lives of the locals. By chance, I had the privilege of attending a family gathering of local residents and tasting authentic Eritrean food. It was the first time in my life that I tasted Injera, a wheat-based fermented dough, and the unique taste I still can't forget. In this family gathering, I felt their warmth and sincerity, which made me feel like I was a part of this big family.

In addition to exploring the city, I also set foot in the natural beauty of Eritrea. During the drive, I made my way along winding mountain roads and witnessed breathtaking coastal scenery. Large stretches of beach, crystal clear waters, and fishing boats in the distance make for a beautiful picture. I also had the opportunity to visit a local nature reserve and get up close and personal with wildlife, which gave me a more comprehensive understanding of Eritrea's ecology.

During my travels, I was also able to deeply appreciate the diverse cultures of the country. Eritrea is made up of a number of different ethnic groups, each with a unique language, dress and traditions. Through my interactions with the locals, I have come to appreciate the charm of this multiculturalism and the importance of finding common ground in cultural diversity. This has given me a deeper understanding of the diversity of human society and a greater appreciation for this cultural atmosphere of diversity and inclusion.

Although the trip was full of fond memories, I also realized that Eritrea faced some challenges. In some areas, I have seen the existence of some inadequate infrastructure and social problems. However, it is precisely these problems that make this country even more in need of our attention and help. I deeply feel that travel is not only about enjoying the beautiful scenery, but also about getting to know the real face of a country, to care about it and try to contribute to its development.

Back home, I reflected on what this trip had taught me. In this era of information explosion, we often only see the surface of the world, but rarely understand the culture, history and social conditions of a country. Through this trip, I have come to realize that each country is unique in its own way and that it is worth exploring and understanding. At the same time, it also made me cherish what I have more, and think about how we can better protect and pass on the cultural heritage of each country in the context of globalization.

Overall, the trip to Eritrea was a fulfilling and memorable experience. I learned a lot from interacting with the locals, experiencing the wonders of nature, and tasting the local food. This trip not only enriched my experience, but also broadened my horizons. I hope that in the future, more people will be able to go abroad, experience the charm of different cultures, and face this colorful world with a more open mind.
