On December 24, the world's largest and China's first large-scale rake suction dredger "New Sea Sturgeon", invested by CCCC Shanghai Harbor Bureau, general contractor of Dredging Technology Research Center and built by Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries, was successfully launched in Qidong, Jiangsu, marking the R&D, design and construction of LNG powered rake suction dredger in mainland China to fill the gap of clean energy dredgers. The rake suction dredger is a kind of dredging construction ship, which is mainly responsible for dredging waterways and river silt, and is also a "big country" for sand blowing and reclamation. The 15,000 square cabin capacity of the "New Sea Sturgeon" rake suction dredger has a total length of 155.7 meters, a width of 32 meters, a full load draft of 9.9 meters, and a maximum cabin capacity of 17,000 cubic meters.
