The all-new Audi "A4L" welded car rolls off the assembly line: it is reported that it will be renamed Audi A5 with a new design

author:IT House

IT Home reported on December 24 that according to FAW-Volkswagen, Audi's first welded body with the internal code name AU401 project was officially rolled off the assembly line recently, and the official said that "the car was released 2 weeks in advance".

This internal codename corresponds to the all-new generation Audi "A4L". But Audi announced earlier this year that the original "A4" name would only be used for all-electric models, and the petrol version would be named the A5. To put it simply, it is a singular number of petrol cars and an even number of trams.

According to the vehicle manufacturing process, it still takes a while for the vehicle to go from the welding car off the assembly line to the small batch trial production. The car is expected to go into production in China next year, competing with models such as the BMW 3 Series, Mercedes-Benz C-Class and Cadillac CT5.

According to a previous report by IT House, spy photos of the interior of the new car have been exposed before. Its design is in the style of the overseas Q6 e-tron, equipped with a new three-spoke multi-function steering wheel, as well as a full LCD digital instrument cluster and a curved screen with integrated central control.

It is worth mentioning that for the first time, a recessed LCD screen has been added to the passenger seat. In addition, the new car uses an electronic toggle shift mechanism.

In addition, the all-new Audi "A4L" (or A5L) will be offered with a 1.5T+48V mild hybrid, a 2.0T engine, and a 1.5T plug-in hybrid system, mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
