From December 23rd to 25th, the 2nd Outdoor Sports and Leisure Festival of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area was held in the National Sports Tourism Demonstration Base - Guangzhou Conghua Tianren Landscape Resort. Yu Weijian, Director of the Economic Division of the Guangdong Provincial Sports Bureau, Zhang Zhuangwen, Deputy Director of the Group Division of the Guangdong Provincial Sports Bureau, Yi Hongtao, President of the Guangdong Outdoor Sports Association, and Huang Xiaohai, Deputy Mayor of the People's Government of Conghua District, Guangzhou City, attended the series of activities.
This year's Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Outdoor Sports and Leisure Festival combines the natural endowment of mountains, rivers, forests, fields, lakes and grasses in the host area, and on the basis of seeking to meet the needs of national fitness in Guangdong and even the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and seizes the diversification of sports and fitness needs and the development trend of emerging sports under the wave of outdoor group sports upgrading, and carefully plans and organizes dozens of outdoor sports and leisure projects. Compared with the first session, this year's event is more popular, trendy, and interesting, and explores the new life of the humanistic and leisure bay area through a variety of activities.
This year's event organized professional sports such as miniathlon running, mountain horse cross-country, electric flying wing, paramotor, dragon boat, paddle board, kayaking, sailing and so on. At the same time, it has joined the popular Internet celebrity projects such as egg poker competition games, frisbee golf, and fun football. In addition, there are cultural orienteering competitions, kite experience, Cantonese lion dancing canvas bag DIY, Counter-Strike 15V15 people battle, riding, camping, luminous riding, family hiking fun tour and other experience projects with strong public participation. At the event site, there are also children's martial arts, Southern Boxing King performances, outdoor concerts, valley concerts and many other leisure and entertainment projects that ordinary people like to see.
Chen Juan, the founder of Zheng Tai Chi and the first representative inheritor of Guangzhou Municipal Intangible Cultural Heritage Taijiquan, led many parent-child families to go on a family hike, and the 3-kilometer-long route connected the mountains and valleys of the Tianren Landscape Resort, exploring new ways of parent-child interactive fitness and nature education in the way of hiking.
During the event, the 2023 National Camping Conference - Guangzhou Conghua Station and the 9th Guangzhou Outdoor Sports Festival Camping Conference, as well as the 2023 China Mountain Horse Cross-Country Series - "China Sports Lottery Cup" Guangzhou Conghua Mountain Horse Cross-Country Race were also held simultaneously, attracting more than 200 and more than 2,000 people to participate respectively. The Guangdong Outdoor Sports Association also organized the "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Outdoor Leisure Industry Development Forum".
Yi Hongtao, President of the Guangdong Outdoor Sports Association, said, "We hope that through the annual Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Outdoor Sports and Leisure Festival and other series of events held in Conghua, the 'Outdoor Sports Base' will become the third beautiful city card of Conghua after the 'Lychee Town' and 'Hot Spring Capital'." ”
The event was guided by the Guangdong Provincial Social Sports and Training Competition Centre, organized by the Guangdong Outdoor Sports Association, and supported by the Hong Kong Jockey Club.
