Bole recommended a joint exhibition of rookie works, and the Lingnan art scene set off another upsurge of helping

A few days ago, the "Generation of Talents - Lingnan Art Circle Bole Recommended New Talent Works Exhibition" opened at the Guangzhou CPPCC Culture and History Exhibition Center, which aims to promote the dissemination and development of Lingnan calligraphy and painting art, and provide a good display platform for new artistic forces.

The reporter of the collection weekly learned that the special feature of this exhibition is that it invited members of the presidium of the Guangdong Artists Association, members of the presidium of the Guangzhou Artists Association, members of the leading group of the Guangdong Chinese Painting Society, members of the leading group of the Chinese Painting Institute of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, members of the leading group of the Guangzhou Municipal People's Political Consultative Conference Painting and Calligraphy Institute, individual famous painters and each recommended an outstanding young artist under the age of 45 A total of nearly 100 people participated in the exhibition.

The calligraphy and painting works in the exhibition not only carry forward the artistic proposition of the Lingnan School of Integrity, Innovation, Openness and Inclusiveness, but also reflect the artistic conception of the author's ingenuity in each work. The maturity and sophistication of the master's brush and ink and the individuality of the master's brushwork, as well as the meticulous craftsmanship and novelty of the rookie's creation, constitute the unique visual enjoyment of the exhibition, and the effect of Lingnan art's "passing on the band" is remarkable. Zhu Guangrong, Secretary-General of the Painting and Calligraphy Institute of the Guangzhou CPPCC, said: "We have conceived the idea of holding an exhibition in the form of a famous artist recommending a young person to exhibit their masterpieces together, so as to provide a good platform for young artists to display. ”

"In the future, it will continue to be a brand exhibition in the form of a biennale"

Collection Weekly: The planning of this exhibition is quite special, what was the inspiration to use the famous artist to recommend young people?

Zhu Guangrong: The Lingnan School of painting is influential in the country and even the world, and each generation of leaders attaches great importance to the construction of reserve teams: Gao Jianfu has promoted Guan Shanyue, Li Xiongcai, and Yang Zhiguang all the way. And Guan and Li also elected Liang Shixiong, Chen Jinzhang, Lin Fengshu, Wang Yujue and others as successors early. Yang Zhiguang found Lin Yong, Xie Zhigao, Chen Zhenguo, Fang Chuxiong and others. Liang and Chen Erlao focused on cultivating a number of influential talents in the country, such as Zhou Yansheng, Zhang Zhi'an, Chen Yongqiang, Li Jinkun, and Fang Chuqiao; Lin Fengshu carefully cultivated Zhang Yan, An Lin, and Zhang Dong; and Wang Yujue transferred Xiang Xiang, Huang Weili, and Cui Yue to the Guangdong Academy of Painting. Lin, Xie, Chen, and Fang have also cultivated many junior talents.

In terms of talent selection, they have inherited the fine traditions of the older generation, and these talents have lived up to expectations and achieved good results one after another. Judging from the history of the glorious rise of Lingnan art in a century, it is actually a shining process in which the reserve echelon strives to create a well-cultivated brilliance. Based on this, we conceived the idea of holding the exhibition in the form of a famous artist recommending a young person to exhibit their masterpieces together, so as to provide a good platform for young artists to display. Thanks to the director of the General Office of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and the leaders in charge of the recognition of this plan of the CPPCC Painting and Calligraphy Institute, and thanks to Lin Lan, Chen Yongqiang, Wang Xiaoshu, Fang Tu and Xu Dunping, the five main leaders who participated in the support, hosting and undertaking of the exhibition were highly recognized and carefully organized, and the exhibition was successfully held as scheduled and received unanimous praise.

Collection Weekly: Are there any special considerations and criteria for selecting famous artists and inviting them to recommend young artists?

Zhu Guangrong: Due to the limited space, we can only select no more than 100 authors to participate in the exhibition. In order to be more academic, we send invitations to the presidium of the Guangdong Provincial Artists Association, the presidium of the Municipal Artists Association, the leadership of the Provincial Chinese Painting Society, the leadership of the Chinese Painting Institute of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, and the leaders of the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Institute of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. Most of the famous artists participated in this recommendation activity, but it is a pity that there are still a small number of leaders in the art industry who may be too busy to participate. This exhibition has been recognized and praised by many famous artists and young people, and we consider continuing to make a brand exhibition in the form of a biennale in the future, so as to make due contributions to the continuous development and growth of Lingnan art.

"Lin Lan's recommended Zhou Wenyao's fine writing is delicate and full of poetry"

Collection Weekly: The works on display this time cover landscapes, flowers and birds, figures, calligraphy, seal carving and other subjects.

Zhu Guangrong: In addition to sculpture and gouache, other types of paintings are covered in this exhibition, and 49 young painters have presented masterpieces for the exhibition. The famous artists are very sharp-eyed, and the young artists basically show their unique artistic pursuits. There are not only meticulously drawn brushstrokes, but also concise and summarized freehand, as well as complex and diverse paintings, all of which reflect the young people's desire to seek innovation and avant-garde unique perspectives. From this, we are pleased to see the gratifying phenomenon of Lingnan art, which is unstoppable and unstoppable, and the future development of Lingnan art is promising.

Collection Weekly: Can you comment on the works of some representative young artists, and what are the characteristics of them?

Zhu Guangrong: Throughout the exhibition, I was deeply impressed by the works of several young people. The 28-year-old Huizhou artist Su Lina's Gongbi flowers and birds recommended by Pan Xiaoming are very novel and mature, which may have a lot to do with her long-term study tour in Beijing, and her future achievements are limitless. The Gongbi characters painted by Zhou Wenyao recommended by Lin Lan are delicate and full of poetry, making people feel as if another talented woman like Wang Yujue has made her debut. The Shen Chang landscape recommended by Song Lujing is imposing and rich and attractive, and has been praised by Teacher Fang Chuxiong. Fang Tu's recommended Huang Yinyan's fine brush flowers and birds, dare to draw snakes into the picture, the atmosphere creates a dreamy and beautiful feeling. The freehand landscape of Chen Zhuokai recommended by Kong Fanle made my eyes shine, and several Hainan sketches constitute a work, and the control of brush and ink is wonderful. Song Guangzhi's prints recommended by Qiao Luyao are novel and modern and thought-provoking. Zhong Weijie, whom I recommend, has long been a professional who has won awards at the provincial exhibition, with a strong personal outlook, and fantasy and reality are one. These young people have different ideas and are very talented, and they are very optimistic that they will become the backbone of the Lingnan painting scene in the future. I hope that in the future, there will be a big stage to show the talents of young people, which can inspire young people to learn from each other, and through unremitting struggle, they will finally achieve their artistic dreams and successfully reach the other side Xi of success!
