Three Families: If Israel does not subdue Egypt and Jordan, will there still be the concept of a Palestinian state?

author:Jianghu Xiaoxiaosheng

Let me say that the State of Palestine was established by Israel. Many people are definitely going to squirt, just because Palestine and Israel are now in a-for-tat confrontation, so it makes no sense to say this, and even feels ridiculous.

However, if we carefully look at history, we will find that the opportunity for Palestine to establish a state was indeed given by Israel. No matter how big your temper is and how uncontrollable your emotions are, you can't change this fact.

Three Families: If Israel does not subdue Egypt and Jordan, will there still be the concept of a Palestinian state?

First, the Arab States did not intend for the establishment of a Palestinian state in the first place

In 1947, United Nations Resolution 181 called for the establishment of a Jewish state and an Arab state in Palestine, and the territorial boundaries were mapped out for both sides.

Whether or not you think the resolution is effective or not, it is a relatively internationally recognized peace plan. Otherwise, we can only let war solve the problem, and ordinary people still prefer to solve problems peacefully compared to war.

As a result, the surrounding Arab countries were angry, and they never planned to have another Arab country around them. Originally, it would be very difficult for the Arab countries to reunify, and if one more came out, wouldn't it be adding to the chaos!

In particular, the surrounding countries, such as Egypt, Jordan and Syria, are all close to Palestine and have deep ties to the Palestinian region in history, so they did not agree to this in the first place, with the aim of nothing more than to divide the land.

Egyptian dynasties have ruled the Palestinian region for more than 1,000 years, and Syria has also included the Palestinian region into the category of Greater Syria, Jordan and Palestine were originally one before 1920, and in terms of blood relations, they are closest to the Palestinians, and the British forcibly separated them.

Therefore, these three Arab countries all want to have sovereignty over the Palestinian region. It's just that Britain was strong at that time and didn't dare to provoke it.

In 1947 the British were gone, and the Jews established Israel in May 1948 in accordance with UN Resolution 181. As a result, the next day it was besieged by the Arab countries. Can't beat Britain, can't you beat you, the newly founded Israel?

Egypt, Jordan and Syria intend to divide up the Palestinian territories

In the first Middle East war, it was Israel that won in the end. But the Arab countries are not in vain. The Farouk dynasty of Egypt, which gained the Gaza region. The Hashemite dynasty of Jordan gained the West Bank.

As for Israel, it took the rest of the Palestinian territory, and the three companies partnered to divide up the Palestinian area. It stands to reason that this should be the end of the story, but if someone is unhappy, who?

It is also a neighbor of Palestine, and its own strength is not bad, so why do you eat meat and I can't even drink soup? For this reason, Syria has begun to actively encourage the Palestinians to come out and take charge of their own affairs.

Thus, in 1964, the PLO was formed.

For this reason, the Egyptian spokesman Nasser lost his temper, believing that the PLO should not be established. Even if the PLO has to be established, it must be allowed by Egypt, the big Arab brother, to skip Egypt, what kind of business is this?

Jordan also did not agree, after all, they occupy 5,000 square kilometers of territory in the West Bank, and Jerusalem is also in their hands.

3. Israel has taken Gaza and the West Bank from Egypt and Jordan

Syria is a staunch supporter of the PLO, after all, he has nothing to gain, and his psychology is extremely unbalanced. Since you don't have it, then don't think about it.

After the establishment of the PLO in 1964, Egypt and Jordan still did not take them seriously, and Egypt even planned to send its own people to be the boss of the PLO to control the PLO, but this matter was disturbed by Fatah's Arafat.

In those years, there were many contradictions within the Arab world, but in 1967 peace was barely guaranteed, and only then did it have the strength to cooperate against Israel.

As a result, in the third Middle East war, the Arab countries were defeated. No one expected them to be defeated in six days, for which Egypt lost Gaza and the Sinai Peninsula, Syria lost the Golan Heights, and Jordan lost the West Bank and Jerusalem.

As a result, the whole of Palestine has been occupied by Israel.

The Arab countries had planned to work together to destroy Israel and then divide up the territory of Palestine, but not only did they fail to get more territory, but they lost their original territory.

Since then, the Arab countries' desire to deal with Israel and carve up Palestine has actually faded. After all, it couldn't be defeated at all, which allowed the PLO to gradually rise and become the real representative of Palestine.

Fourthly, Israel has returned all of Gaza to the Palestinians

Many people say that the Israeli peace talks are insincere and do not give the Palestinians room to live. During the reign of the main peace faction, the peace talks were still very sincere, but during the reign of the Likud clique of the main war faction, they were relatively tough.

Logically speaking, Israel has already occupied the whole of Palestine, so why should it return its territory?

In the fourth Middle East war in 1973, the Arab countries were actually defeated. The only difference is that this time Israel also suffered a lot. This is also the main reason why Israel intends to settle the problem through peace talks, otherwise who would want to give up so much territory?

  • In 1978, Egypt and Israel signed the Camp David Accords, and Israel returned the Sinai Peninsula to Egypt in 1982.
  • In 1994, Israel and Jordan also signed a peace agreement, in which Jordan recognized Israel's right to exist and no longer insisted on sovereignty over the West Bank.

The Israeli side is relieved that these two major problems have been solved. The next step was to negotiate with Syria, but the negotiations never yielded the desired results. Therefore, Israel has not returned the Golan Heights to Syria to this day. This was originally Syrian territory, and Israel's long-term occupation of this place really makes no sense. Unless they're treating it as a trophy.

In 1993, the Palestinian-Israeli peace talks led to the signing of the Oslo Accords, and since then the PLO and Israel have also embarked on the road of peace talks. In 2005, Israel withdrew all Israeli troops in Gaza, as well as all Jewish settlements. It's very sincere. Otherwise, Hamas would not have had a base and a living space.

But Israel gave it back to the PLO, which lost to Hamas in 2007, which allowed Hamas to get Gaza.

What is the land in the present-day state of Palestine?

In fact, only Gaza and the West Bank are located, and at least half of the West Bank is under Israeli control. Originally, Gaza was in the hands of the PLO, but it was later occupied by Hamas. This time, the Israeli army has invaded Gaza again, and it is estimated that Gaza's future will be the same as that of the West Bank.

Many people always compare the situation in Palestine with the situation we were in when we resisted Japan. In fact, there is still a difference, we were an independent and sovereign country at that time, but Palestine is still not a member of the United Nations, has no voting rights, and is not a truly independent and sovereign country. You can believe it or not, but the truth is so cruel.

And I haven't seen Japan spit out the land it eats, and in the real sense of the word, it is not stationing troops, but Israel has withdrawn all its troops in Gaza and part of the West Bank, is there a difference between the two?

When India annexed the Kingdom of Sikkim in 1975, many people thought that Sikkim was not a member of the United Nations, so India's annexation was understandable. Why do you have different answers when you turn to the question of Palestine?

At present, the Palestinians can only establish a state in two places, Gaza and the West Bank, which have been occupied by Israel since 1967. It was slowly returned to the PLO after the peace talks, so I believe that the establishment of a Palestinian state was single-handedly handled by Israel. This place is going to fall into the hands of the Arab countries, the territory has long been divided, where is the concept of a Palestinian state?
