But one day, ten suns appeared in the sky at the same time, making the ground unbearably hot, the crops withered, the animals died, and human life fell into great difficulty. At this time, a young man named Hou Yi stood up. He was a natural bow and arrow master, and he had the skill of piercing through the sun in a hundred steps. Seeing that his homeland had suffered so much damage, Hou Yi decided to save the world.
Hou Yi came to the top of the mountain, aimed his best bow and arrow at the ten suns in the sky, and shot them all down with arrow after arrow. With the last sun being rayed, the whole world returned to calm, the phenomenon of day and night reappeared, and people's lives returned to light.
