The ranking of global enterprise R&D investment has been released, and Huawei has fallen out of the top three, and this matter is even more troublesome.
Friends who have gone to school should remember this sentence: Science and technology are the primary productive forces! This means that science and technology are the key to promoting the development of national strength, and they are also the core productive forces. More colloquially, in modern society, whoever masters the most powerful technology will become the most powerful country in the world.
In the past 30 years, the reason why the mainland has been able to achieve rapid development is to put it bluntly because we have mastered advanced scientific and technological means, and if we only rely on traditional slash-and-burn farming, then we may still struggle to make ends meet, let alone become the second country in the global economy.
However, we should indeed recognize the reality that most of the scientific and technological means that the mainland has mastered in the past 30 years have actually been directly taken from the West, and have not been created by ourselves, so it is very easy for us to appear, and once the West does not provide us with advanced technology, then our development will come to a standstill.
For example, Huawei, because the supply of chips was cut off by the West, so its development has been restricted, although it has barely gotten rid of some restrictions, but the overall development is still affected.
Therefore, as far as the mainland is concerned, if it wants to maintain sustained and long-term positive development, it can only find ways to improve its own scientific and technological strength, and the only way to improve its scientific and technological strength is to spend money on research and development. But what is more helpless is that many enterprises in our country actually lack this awareness.
As you can see, not long ago, the 2022 global enterprise R&D investment ranking list was released, and the top three are all American companies, namely Google, Meta (formerly Facebook), Microsoft, the fourth is Apple, and the fifth is Huawei. In previous years, Huawei's R&D investment ranked third, but in the past two years, affected by sanctions and other factors, Huawei's overall revenue has declined, and the corresponding R&D investment has also begun to decrease.
In my opinion, this is not a good signal, if Huawei can't get out of the predicament as soon as possible, then over time, competitors will become stronger and stronger, market share will be higher and higher, and the corresponding Huawei's market influence will be weakened, and revenue will also decrease, resulting in a continuous decrease in R&D investment, and Huawei is likely to be completely left behind.
Of course, this is something that needs to be worried about in the long term, and there is no need to worry too much in the short term, because in the past ten years, Huawei's cumulative R&D investment has reached nearly one trillion yuan, and many R&D achievements in the past ten years will continue to be converted into revenue through the market.
In my opinion, the more troublesome thing is actually this matter! Let's take a closer look at this list, only Huawei is on the top 10 list, most of the rest are American companies, and only one Tencent has been added to the top 20, and Ali ranks even lower, only in the 22nd position.
Among the top 20 companies in the world's R&D investment, only Huawei and Tencent, I don't know what everyone thinks, but I think this is a very outrageous thing and a very dangerous thing.
As we mentioned above, science and technology are the primary productive forces, and the only means to improve our scientific and technological capabilities is to invest in research and development. In the face of various restrictions in the West, if we want to get out of the predicament, we can only improve our own scientific and technological level, but now we look at the fact that the R&D investment of American companies is high, and domestic companies can also get their hands on Huawei, Tencent, and Alibaba.
I have always said that the current situation is very clear, it is impossible for the West to give us a chance to rise, let alone help us rise, if you want to develop, you can only rely on yourself, you can only look for opportunities to break through in the blockade, but now I see the R&D investment of domestic enterprises, to be honest, I feel very lost. Relying on one or two companies, can we really succeed in breaking through?
Huawei is very strong, but no matter how strong the tiger is, it can't defeat the wolves! What's more, what is staring at us outside now is a fierce tiger or even a giant dragon, and at this time, if we are still reluctant to spend money on research and development, and do not have the determination to break the cauldron and sink the boat, how can we win? #实话实说#
