Mencius said, "The chicken rises up and works diligently and diligently to do good deeds, and it is a person like Shun." The chickens rise up, and those who work diligently and diligently to make profits are the kind of people who are trampled. To know the difference between Shun and Shun, there is nothing else, nothing more than greed and good deeds. "The reason why people work diligently and never stop their lives is because of their ambitions. Ambition is something that can be achieved if it is done, and it will be successful if it is planned. When it has been implemented, it cannot be reversed; when it has been successful, it cannot be changed. Therefore, the person who does Shun's peace is a person like Shun, and the person who does shun does not regret that he has become a kind of person, but he can no longer focus on it. Isn't the wisdom and strength of the thief as good as Shun's? The ambitions are different. alas! The ambition of the student in a day is the source of the country's chaos and the root of people's happiness.
Mencius said, "What should a scholar do?" A, ambition should be honored. The "Book of Learning" says: "Whoever studies, he must first learn to do things for officials, and he must first make up his mind for soldiers." I said, "Whoever is not an official must first straighten out his ambitions." "Education without knowing to make people aspire first, learning without knowing to honor ambition, if you want to govern the country prosperous and beautiful customs, then where to achieve it?"
