On Thursday, The Sun revealed that Manchester United are interested in signing Japan international Kenei Kubo after Antony's continued underperformance, and Anthony could be a victim.

In the summer window of 2022, Antony joined Manchester United from Ajax for a transfer fee of £85.5 million. As Ten Hag's favorite player, Antony did not show a performance that matched Mr. 100 million after joining Manchester United.

Since joining Manchester United, Antony has scored just eight goals and provided three assists in 62 appearances, and has never been involved in 18 appearances this season. The poor performance caused Anthony's value to fall all the way, from 75 million to 50 million.

According to The Sun, Ten Hag is already looking for a replacement for Antony, with Kenei Kubo targeted. Manchester United scouts have watched Kubo's performances on seven occasions this season, including Real Sociedad's clash with Betis, where Hisashi was voted Man of the Match.

The 22-year-old was born in La Masia and switched to Real Madrid in 2019. In the 2022 summer window, Real Sociedad bought out Kenei Kubo for a transfer fee of £5.5 million, scoring 15 goals and providing 13 assists in 67 games. In the 2023 summer window, Napoli's £26 million bid was rejected by Real Sociedad.

With Kenei Kubo on a contract with Real Sociedad until 2027, The Sun has revealed that Real Sociedad could accept a transfer fee of £43 million, and Manchester United could add Antony to the deal and send Antony on loan to Real Sociedad.
